  1. Yup, Rocksett! Soak it in water and then remove, piece of cake.
  2. Congrats brother! Anytime we make it out of this job alive and relatively healthy it's a great accomplishment! Stay busy and try to keep that honey do list from getting too long!
  3. I consider Fringe sci-fi. It starts out kinda slow but by the middle of the first season it gets real interesting, much better than Defiance! Each episode has it's own story but the elements play into the whole timeline of the series. The acting is great and John Noble (Dr. Walter Bishop) is awesome! I agree with Wash, he makes the show!
  4. Haven't watched it yet but it's recorded on the DVR. Still binge watching Fringe!
  5. Bwahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE THIS SCHIT! Mom & dad took care of business! http://www.fox4now.com/news/state/florida-burglar-beat-with-his-own-weapon
  6. Just remembered that Chris actually told me in an email to use the AR-10A bolt catch.
  7. I used the AR-10A bolt catch for both of my Matrix receivers and they worked fine with no filing. I have no idea what the difference is between the A and B catches but I read somewhere (maybe Chris's website?) that the AR-10A catches work just fine. Seems to be the case with mine.
  8. That is ridiculous but I feel the pain! Factory Python grips are right up there in the same range! I'm sure glad I got the originals with my gun.
  9. I never seat and crimp with the same die! When you do both at once the case mouth is being pushed into the sides of the bullet as it's still sliding into the neck. I learned early on that this creates a lot of problems when loading lead bullets in pistol cases (shaves the lead) and decided it can't be beneficial even with jacketed bullets and/or rifle cases.
  10. That right there.^^^^ I did the piece of coat hanger, I'm a cheap barstard! 7/10ths length BTW.
  11. I've had a 6 & 1/2" Model 29 and a stainless 629 and let them both get away from me. I also had a 6 & 1/2' Model 57 .41 Magnum at one time. I've got a 6' Colt Anaconda .44 Magnum to go with my 6" Python now. Those two aren't going anywhere until I'm dead!
  12. Awww............that schit will buff out!
  13. Hey Jacob, those last two slings you did for me were awesome! My wife LOVES the muddy girl one!
  14. Damn, you must have really cranked that thing down! Glad you got it all taken care of!
  15. notice the "Private and confidential, do not distribute" at the bottom of the letter! Now that schit is all over the 'net!
  16. Upper left rifle is an AK type with an aftermarket stock and the two bottom rifles are AR-15's. I can't tell what the upper middle rifle is..
  17. The Norinco's were pretty darn good pistols IMHO! It was an excellent gun for the price but our politicians, in their infinite wisdom, fukked that deal up and made it illegal to import them! I bought one and worked it over with some better internals and sights and a beavertail grip safety and checkered the front strap 30 LPI. In the spirit of building a budget 1911 I bead blasted the parts, polished the flats on the slide and a friend took it to work (Tilden Tool) and reblued it when they were bluing a batch of drill bits! I ended up giving that gun to my older son and wish I had it back! That free drill bit blue job has held up great over the years too!
  18. The muzzle brake may have been installed with Rocksett. Always check with the manufacturer to see if some type of thread locker was used to install the muzzle device on your barrel before trying to remove it. In the case of Rocksett, just soak it in water overnight and the Rocksett will release, otherwise if you keep cranking on the muzzle device you can end up with the problem you now have.
  19. My name is Larry, and I have a weapons addiction too.......................................but my bathroom is done!
  20. Bwahahahaha!!!!
  21. That gas tube looks too short! We've had that problem before with builds that used an Armalite spec gas block position on the barrel, Armalite's gas tubes are just a bit longer than the DPMS tubes, which are stock AR-15 length.. If this is a DPMS factory build I can't understand why the tube would be short though? Too short of a gas tube will cause the problems you are experiencing though. If you look in the 3rd pic posted, the gas tube should extend back to about the middle of the cutout in your upper receiver.
  22. I've got 4 Beachin slings, the most recent one went on my Matrix 308 build. That rifle will be used for hunting in the mountains here in New Mexico and I have no doubt the sling will be good to go.
  23. There you go! Sockeye and Coho are what I remember him talking about. That is amazing that those fish will swim that far inland!
  24. Damn that's nice! What's the difference between the Idaho salmon and the salmon my son catches up in Juneau? Saltwater-freshwater? Jason tells me they have 3 kinds of salmon up there and one is regarded as junk and they don't keep them.
  25. Naw, it's not the mags, that Colt is junk! I gunsmith 1911's so I'll give you a couple hundred for it. I can probably do a bunch of work on it and make $25 or so profit! Very nice guns there, you got some good ones! BTW, the Tripp mags seem to be highly rated in the competition community!
