  1. Welcome from Iowa, via North Carolina! My advice would be do a good bit of reading here, there is a maintenance section and a DPMS section. Then shoot the schit out of it before you change anything.
  2. The only outcome from this will be revolution, not sure that can be avoided at this point but I'll be damn if I just sit back and hand my progeny a country with less Liberty like was done to me.
  3. This is exactly how we get our rights back and preserve Liberty, WIN THE CULTURE WAR! and it is war gentlemen............
  4. I am at a loss, how is that I am the problem now when all I want is my TRUE 2A rights back? Not the modern interpretation but the original intent of the amendment. This is a cultural issue, no facts or compromises will change the fact that the progressives will not stop till they have removed firearms from all private citizens. This fight requires an offense, not a strategic defense. I say "Nuts" to compromising my Liberty!
  5. They sure seem to be moving slow. I understand that to a degree but waiting so long after the flash bang kinda defeats the purpose doesn't it? 1/75th room clearing training involved tossing in a grenade then immediately following the bang the room got sprayed with full auto as you scanned for threats. The good ol days when warriors got to train for war not policing.
  6. Repeal is the plan just like confiscation is the plan on the left., hell the establishment altogether. No facts, no agreements will change this so we just as well fight the fight now. This is not a political war where slick negotiating will change the outcome, this is a culture war we are fighting. The only way to change the culture is at a grassroots level generation by generation. We have lots of catching up to do, take a kid to the range is the best answer I can think of. YES!
  7. FDE and they can use the same feet as my Atlas, Magpul sure knows how to check the boxes!
  8. Magpul just announced they are coming out with a bipod soon. Knowing Magpul it will be a good one for a reasonable price; https://www.magpul.com/products/magpul-bipod-for-m-lok-1913-picatinny-rail-a-r-m-s-17s
  9. It might be good for Savage in the end. They may be sold to someone that gives a crap and wants to upgrade the brand. The market share Savage has on bolt guns would make me think someone will pick it up. If not get ready to buy some cheap on CDNN!
  10. Welcome from Iowa, via North Carolina!
  11. Yep, stare decisis is not in the Constitution but yet it rules the judiciary, or rather they use it to rule us.......Libertarians would abolish it if given the chance.
  12. Not directly related to the proposal here but Michael Baine explains most of my position better than I could. I do not agree with everything he says, he is giving up on the bumpstocks. http://www.downrange.tv/blog/down-range-radio-558-the-florida-school-shooting/40829/ This is an excellent podcast, highly recommend the series.
  13. ^^^^Yes, when asked to surrender ANY of my weapons I think a quote from General McAuliffe is most appropriate;
  14. It is amazing that what is considered traumatizing abuse these days was once seen as character building. Crying shame kids these days do not get the same opportunities.
  15. Maybe that would start to dissuade these douche bags, be best if this type was just never brought in except in a body bag.
  16. They already should not get the weapons as the law stands now. The government cannot or will not get the job done as it is. When we address the broken parts of the law/government/society. We the law abiding citizen should deal with more and more laws because the lawless will not follow the law????? What part of criminals don't care about the law am I not understanding? The more power given to the government the more powerless and dependant the people become. It will be perfect with no violence when we go to heaven, until then suck it up and get used to reality, humans are a violent race and Liberty is dangerous. If forced to negotiate I would follow the Trump NK pattern, start from a position of power. We have the guns now, we are not the problem so we should stop wringing our hands over some imaginary law that has not come into being yet. If they smell our fear it will only embolden them. We overcame the last ban we can overcome the next.
  17. I did, it is a big solution, not a bureaucratic pick around the edges solution. We are dealing with issues of a much bigger scope than a law will fix. The mentality of pass a law to fix the problem is a good part of why we are in this situation. People sherking their personal responsibility to their community because they assume or wish or hope government will fix it for them. Hows that working out? This and let the buttercups suck it up, true Liberty is dangerous, those that would trade it for some fanciful feeling of security deserve no Liberty, someone way smarter than me said it much better. True Liberty is dangerous but it gives us the chance to fix things ourselves, on a local level, up close and personal we could confront evil and remove it as it appears.
  18. Doesn't matter how many times I read it I will not agree to ANY additional federal anything no matter how sweet it sounds. Not one more inch for the progressives in any area not just 2A. They are corrupt, incompetent, and liars. The only thing that will fix the situation this country is in is less big government and more personal responsibility.
  19. Yes it has strayed, no doubt of that. But the founders meant it to be a true republic so the majority could not run roughshod over the minority. Thank god we still have the electoral college or we would have Hitlery right now. Hypothetical because nobody would have thought to pose such a question. Never being a long time is NOT hypothetical. IF the proposal in the article could somehow magically never be altered or misinterpreted or abused by the government I'd say great but that is just fantasy world wishful thinking there, a true hypothetical. Yes it sounds great on the face, so does healthcare for everyone, how's that working out?
  20. Never is a LONG time. If you would have asked my Great Grandfather when gay marriage would be allowed and when prayer would be removed from schools he would have said never. False, America is a republic! It was purposely not allowed to be a democracy because the founding fathers new what happens with absolute majority rule. http://www.thisnation.com/question/011.html
  21. Phrasing........
  22. You'll have to excuse my skepticism when it comes to our corrupt, incompetent government doing anything that would add to my Liberty. Just don't see it happening. If the Industry insider thought it was such a good idea why didn't he put his name onit?????
  23. The Roosevelt progressives took my families full autos. They made me register my suppressors. Just because they haven't doesn't mean they won't. Anything that makes that easier is a bust. We had a victory in electing Trump, now a year later we are running scared because of a media campaign. A sad state we are in.
  24. Hadn't thought of that, guess we did have a cry closet. Thankfully there was someone waiting outside the door to waterboard me with that 5 gallon water can and snap me out of it!
  25. And what part of that license scheme is going to stop the next one? The constitution itself has not stopped the progressive march to socialism.
