  1. You never know till you try
  2. It has been on one of the HBO channels this month.
  3. Maybe a little heat in case there is a threadlocker on it,
  4. Did you try it before you loosened the the three larger ones? I'm not familiar with that setup but maybe tighten the others back up and see if that lessens some of the torque on the little one.
  5. Yes, I agree, needing some selective unpinning site wide.
  6. Loved watching him wrestle on Sundays. Just watched that documentary on HBO this afternoon, first thing I've seen on there worth watching in a good long while!
  7. and that is how it's done!
  8. Grandpa started me out hunting for the cats and dogs dinner at 5 years old. Squirrels and rabbits were considered varmints and dispatched accordingly. He gave me a few instructions, like never shoot towards the house, know where the bullet will go if you miss, keep it on safe till you are ready to shoot, little stuff like that and then turned me loose in the woods. This is the same man that taught me how to swim by pushing the dog in the water and telling me to do what the dog is doing as he threw me in after him. The critical lesson he taught though was respect, for others and myself. I think the respect lesson is the biggest thing missing these days.
  9. Lancer is top notch equipment, I've got a rifle that doesn't like them but that is pretty rare. They have the largest C.O.A.L. capacity I have measured, even more than Magpul M118's; https://lancer-systems.com/awc/advanced-warfighter-magazines/#1483980531973-35af8bb1-1abe
  10. Amen Brother! They have made me a better shooter with just the number of extra rounds I can shoot for the money!
  11. Then as long as you bought the lower separate from a rifle upper you can swap out for the pistol tube without issue, just get a pistol barrel. Without reloading I don't think you can gain much past a 7-8 inch barrel anyway. And of course you'll need a can for that beast!
  12. Damn, that's not a bad deal for just the brass, throw in all that labor and it's a sweet deal. If I didn't have piles I will never get loaded already...........
  13. Wonder what pills the kid was on?
  14. I love the last one with Johnny Knoxville, "Is Butterbean OK?"
  15. I don't think he said it was a specification. There are no overall specs for these rifles, maybe some manufactures have established a spec for their rifles but can't say I have seen this info in public. I try to get as close as I can and not have function issues. Gotta take into account that the buffer cushion is going to allow a little more travel on recoil and this will vary with the material used. It would be hard to say there is any single optimum spec.
  16. We have MS13 in our little town. They started being a problem about 15 years ago. Our law enforcement didn’t seem interested in getting a lid on it so a group of local hillbillies convinced them that staying away from our people and property was in their best interest. I imagine their bosses did not see the advantage in pushing the issue so their numbers have remained small and quite since. Everyone still keeps a close eye on them though, gotta keep the range cards up to date and they make it easy with their ego stroking spray can art.
  17. The royalties were paid on the stripper clip feature of the ‘03, at least that was what was agreed on. True the 03 used most of the features of the 98 it was officially a Springfield Armory design. That royalties issue with the 03 is a glaring example of how the big banks ( Rothchildes) already controlled the worlds governments. Insane to think we sent money to the enemy that was killing our soldiers. And this continues into our time, ie the plane loads of cash sent to iran......
  18. That's a way different ejector arrangement than I have seen in the past. My Sig 716 has double ejector but they are fairly close together.....and didn't help the jamOmatic any either. PSA is definitely becoming a force in the big frame AR market!
  19. I don't think it's possible either, that is as inexpensive as they come. Worst case you need a different trigger and barrel and even then it would be as cheap as you can build! I shoot a bunch of S&B ammo, cleanest for the money I have found. I just shoot iron sights on my 300 BO and have no problem hitting center of a 12 inch plate at 100 yards. When you getting the can?????
  20. They have changed up, some basic models come with a cheap single stage now, they haven't done a good job of spelling this out lately. I'm not sure they still have either the NM or the combat trigger they used to.
  21. Welcome from Iowa, via Mississippi!
  22. Take a look at the LaRue MBT trigger, great trigger for the money, every bit as good an the SSA and cheaper; https://www.larue.com/products/larue-tactical-mbt-2s-trigger/ Several around here have one or more, I have three myself.
  23. I have some saddle soap so I’ll use that, might have to find instructions on setting it back up
  24. I assume it’s original but I’ve never done the research to confirm it. It is in supprisingly good shape, I have not treated it but probably should. What should I use?
  25. I have had good results with the Armalite setup, uses a plug and an O ring. I always see an extra bit of brass shavings when a rifle is new but that goes away eventually.
