  1. Sounds like a great day! Wish I could get my grandkids back to the 22! Once they started shooting centerfire they don't want the 22 anymore, most will just stay home if I tell them all I'm bringing is 22's. "Grandpa we wanna shoot the big ones".....maybe if I get one set up with a can they will go for it.
  2. Looks like the jackets are copper clad before the lead is added. Wonder if there would be a method of sorting out the rounds with voids?
  3. That is my strategy, limited calibers, limited platforms, lots of practice on the limited platforms to establish and keep muscle memory up to par. Come and take you liberal commie bitches!
  4. I may have to try for a Garand if they are going to have that many coming in.
  5. Phone number on the F book page, no sign in required as I don't have an account either. Lots of neat stuff https://positivemadeleather.wixsite.com/website/shop Just noticed the notebook cover, that is the same rite in rain notebook I use in the field. Wire binding is always catching on things so this will be the perfect solution.

CDNN has been clearing out lots of Colt parts over the last year or so, maybe contact them and see if they have anything. ArmsUnlimited also deals with lots of Colt parts.
  8. What did the bullet weigh?
  9. That odd shaped void is messed up! Makes me wonder what kind of groups I can expect, maybe it's just blasting ammo and I better keep saving that FN ball in my stash I was going to swap with this.
  10. Need to get you some pesos or dinars to shoot at, shame to shoot the eagle.......
  11. Welcome from Iowa!
  12. Welcome from Iowa!
  13. Amen Brother! There is just no good place to hang it or hold it. They had to break the ice on the pool for my RIP swim test, added a little extra stress for us! Can't imagine doing it for more than a few laps, thankfully I missed out on the longer stuff that came later.
  14. LaRue, I am a two stage trigger fan and have three of these, every bit as good as the SSA triggers I have and a wider shoe that I like. I have a rebranded Velocity trigger, it's good for bench work but have had issues with it not touching off some of my military surplus M80 ammo, it has a very narrow shoe, and I also prefer a margin for error you get with a two stage for all around use.
  15. For the money the LaRue is a great all around trigger, about all I will buy now, three so far. Nothing wrong with any of Geissele's offerings, they have a great trigger for about any application you can think of, you pay for that though.
  16. Welcome from Iowa!
  17. Look at Vortex and Bushnell elites, they both have great warranties and some pretty reasonable prices for what they offer.
  18. Found where this info comes from, just a general tip and not specific to the Bushnell. In my opinion if you have to go through that procedure then get a different scope! https://www.targettamers.com/guides/rifle-scope-parallax-adjustments/
  19. If that is from the scope instructions then they must use different systems in the tactical elite series, mine do not have that issue.......strange.
  20. Couldn't do that if you were trying to do it!
  21. Cool, my Recoil mag is still in the wrapper, I better get to reading! I have drooled over LaRue's 260 for some time now, this option is bound to increase the flow..........
  22. That is a defect. Contact Bushnell, they have a no questions asked warranty on the Elite series of scopes.
  23. Thanks for the info. I usually shoot my reloads fairly soon but I can see some good applications for this extra step. Bet it is even more important in your climate!
  24. I get it now, mild steel copper plated jacket on a lead core. Surprised me I never ran across this before. Sounds like GGG and PPU are some of the few M80 rounds without steel.
  25. Still available, couldn't resist, got me for a couple hundred dollars more.......... Noticed a reviewer states he couldn't use it at his range due to a "steel core"? Never heard of XM80 having a steel core but then I guess I never put a magnet to it.... http://palmettostatearmory.com/review/product/list/id/427/
