  1. They got them on a technicality....and being in a politically incorrect business! A very un-objective article...........Fuk yahoooo and the atf.
  2. Check with Chris, he has some on sale, different Cerakote options available, just search "rail" on his site for options; http://www.centralfloridafirearms.com/product/matrix-aerospace-15-key-mod-hand-guard/
  3. I'll continue to put more stock in accuracy and rapid follow up than any ballistic numbers or wound studies, hate to trouble my pretty little head with all that math ;-) Any bullet in the right spot will be a stopper, two is even better.......how many documented cases are there where a person got to choose what to be shot with???????????
  4. My newest Matrix AR-15 set from Chris does not have indexes for the gas tube, just a smooth round barrel nut with flats in the first 1/4 inch for a wrench, just torque and go. I'll try to get some pics posted soon. and what Blue says, the gas tube shouldn't be locking in anything.
  5. Bet those would taste great with some Tzatziki Sauce..........there was an aircraft???????
  6. I was there for RIP fall of 83 then went to Ft. Stewart as 2nd brigade commanders "driver" and the brigade S-2 shop assignment in the spring of 84, still made the drive to party with the girls, had some good times with a skinny redhead and a very well endowed brunette amazon gal....for some reason the names never held up in my memory like the mammaries did ;-) (editor will hang around after your post count goes up....an anti-troll measure I guess)
  7. Nice thing about that is it's a Vortex, they will take care of it with no questions.
  8. Thank you NTX, it was killing me not taking that dangling deal there, now I just have to put up with kicking myself for a couple weeks............
  9. Don't have a clue what the the flash was but I NEED some of those!
  10. Best price I've seen on these bullets by far!
  11. Had some good times there at HAAF! Spent my off time between River street and the Stardust ;-)
  12. MERRY CHRISTMAS! May the new year bring you lots of 7075, 416R, and plenty of ammo!
  13. WOW! This is a light, fast trigger for sure. My muscle memory is tuned to run two stage triggers so I had some issues sending the round early but I did start to adjust towards the end of a 50 round string, no bump fires though. Any issues I had with this trigger would be due to my lack of technique and not the trigger. For now this rifle will be relegated to the bench, felt like a stiff wind might just break the shot so I need some more time on it before it gets used in the wild. Wish I could measure the pull, seems like a very light 3 pounds.
  14. 16 1/16 inch on the barrel with that flash hider wrenched down ;-) The set is real nice and the rail is very light for the length. Only downside is now I have to start buying all the keymod goodies for it.......... If I can get lined up with a time to get the flash hider welded I may just get to shoot the thing before I ship out to North Carolina.

  16. My guess is the extra $150 is for all the repair work they know they will be doing on the ones that get run hard! In person you can clearly see the operating rod through the rail, much thicker than a gas tube. The extra weight is a dead giveaway as well as the carrier;
  17. I've always been a Geissele/two stage guy when it comes to triggers but I'm glad I snagged one of these with the combo deal link posted here in the Mech Armor section. Surprised I didn't see a thread on it here in the trigger section so I added one;-) Fits my AR-10 real nice with a tight lockup on the safety. Very crisp break and a very minimal reset, hope I can adjust my style so I don't do a bunch of bump fires! and of course the CQB charging handle is solid and SMOOTH!
  18. If it is a standard rifle receiver extension then look into the LUTH-AR stock, same adjustable features as the Magpul PRS but half the price. http://www.luth-ar.com/product/the-mba-modular-buttstock-assembly/

  20. 80 rounds this morning, 24 degrees 20 mph wind. 3 failure to ejects in the first 10 round magazine of ZQ1 M80 ball clone. Changed to adverse for 20 rounds with no issues but you can sure feel things getting slammed around. Tried some POF M80 clone with the same failure to eject results on the regular setting but functioned on the adverse setting. Tried a few rounds of Radway Green linked M80 ball and it functioned on the regular setting. I plan on testing a bit more over the holidays but won't be spending too much more on "testing" ammo.Conclusion...she's a picky bitch that is only going to function reliably on the adverse setting or with hotter ammo. I was hoping this "pistol" could be a SHTF weapon that would eat whatever was available for it but that doesn't look like it is happening. This has solidified my low opinion of piston 308 guns since I have two other DI 308's that eat whatever I feed them without issue, over 3,000 rounds in my AR-10 and not one failure! There is something about the piston system that seems to require a much narrower pressure range for reliable operation. Looks like I'll be looking to trade this P716 off for a 308 DI "pistol", hope the ArmaLite version gets out into the market soon........might just have to build one.
