  1. I gotta head over to 6.8 and let breast guy know about the LDFA-Ti (Low Drag Forward Assist, Titanium), .751 oz so he'll have to have it just get a picture of it on the scale!
  2. I had always chalked up the Texas swagger to arrogance till I spent a couple years working there, from Port Lavaca to Amarillo and many places in between I found it a fantastic place with fantastic people. Well....maybe except Austin, it was just weird there!
  3. It's a d Wilson BCG. Wonder if I can get an oversized firing pin for it?
  4. I'll be in on one of those bolt catches for my Matrix build as well, not sure why that Matrix setup has to be so different........ I have a similar designed bolt catch on my Sig P716 and PM400 from the factory and just love them.
  5. Yeah, TITS!
  6. I see a dead deer in your future! A keeper for sure!
  7. 11 3/4 pounds as it sits in the picture, p-mag is empty. Still need to add BUIS but no room till I swap scopes. Swapping the Primary Arms scope for the Bushnell 1-6.5X and BUIS should be a wash on the weight. Guess I could go all breastroker on it and ditch the grip panels, rail sections, and hand stop but it would still be over 11 pounds, not that it matters to me....I won't be running with it.
  8. Had to take advantage of the discounted lightweight 5.56 BCG from d. wilson; http://www.dwilsonmfg.com/store/p6/Light_Weight_AR15_bolt_carrier_groups.html now I have to get that SLR adjustable gas block..........
  9. Just realized I never posted any pictures of the rifle after completion, still need an extended mount for the Bushnell SMRS 1-6.5X scope that I have for it.
  10. Congrats to all you Leathernecks! Our hand to hand instructor told us if we really wanted to test our skills then pick a fight with a Marine next time we were in the bar......we did. Ended up not being as good as we thought but like true brothers when we were all done pounding each other to a draw we commenced buying each other draws!
  11. Mine isn't the shiniest ammo I've bought but pretty clean, 2010 headstamp.
  12. What is the date on the brass?
  13. Is there a code or something to get that price?
  14. Chris has lots of options for sets, mine was a blem and it looked great! http://www.centralfloridafirearms.com/product-category/receiver-sets/page/2/

    mk319

Just ran 30 rounds of MK319 this morning in my Matrix build. I forgot to bring my political yard sign for a target board so I had to use the the 3 inch thick wood target boards mounted at the range, hard to tell the group size for sure due to the explosive nature of the bullet, you can see where tiny fragments came back through the paper on impact. FGMM 175's make a neat hole on the same board and target. I think it was under 1 moa at 100 yards for the best group of the day but the holes are far from neat and hard to measure.
  16. The copper slug that is left to penetrate weighs in at about 55 grains depending how much of the upper jacket that holds on.
  17. I have noticed something similar with the ZQ Ammo just not near as much, maybe a 1/2 inch higher, never was for sure if it was the heat or just me from being off my usual rapid pace. 3-4 inches seems pretty extreme for just sitting in a hot chamber.
  18. Welcome from Iowa!
  19. Welcome from Iowa!
  20. Everything I've read about making a clone load said Barnes was as close as you can get for on target performance. At the price that Barnes gets you just as well buy the loaded 319 when it is on a special, glad I bought a pile when I did?

MassAmmo has them in 500 lots once in awhile but they go fast. Get'm when you see'm!
  22. They have some here; http://www.evergladesammo.com/30cal-130gr-match-demil-fmj-bullets.html Sometimes they show up here; http://www.polygunbag.com/bullets.html
  23. Honestly that was over in basic training. Overall you were treated with respect from Airborne school on, one thing they did yell that sticks in my mind was "Puke and run boys, puke and run!" I could hurl chunks while on the run and never get a drop on my boots, ahhhh the good ol days..............
  24. Spend a couple hours in a C130 flying nape of the earth and you won't give a crap about any intact control surfaces, you'll just be happy to jump! Plus if you don't jump out then you miss the pleasure of humping your gear the 20 something miles to the extraction point.
