I've bought lots of 5.56 p-mags without dust covers, M2 regular and windowed don't come with them but M3's do, at least what I've seen. 7.62's I've seen always included the cover but I've only been buying them since this June.

Get a wider variety of ammo, bullet weights, and shoot the poop out of it. Even when the manufacturer says no break in needed I do some frequent cleaning for the first 100 rounds but that's just me.

Just in case anyone wants a close look at Dave's new lightweight BCG thought I'd post some close-ups. Never seen an arrow on the cam pin before, I did recently see an odd shaped cam pin head on a 308 BCG, maybe it was another way to identify a direction of installation. I broke the retainer pin tip when I put it back together, not sure I like this style of pin over the cotter pin that has worked well for decades ( Dave is sending replacement, style of my choice).

I might have to venture to LGS and see if they have one on the shelf, maybe get a picture.

A little late for that, regretfully it appears the pace and scale of attacks are increasing, they will have no choice but to clear out the mooselimb safe havens there.

Just put 90 rounds through the "pistol" after getting it back from Sig, no issues so far. They reamed the chamber, polished the chamber and feed ramps, fired 20 rounds, and shipped it back. I thought it was strange I had to re-zero the Aimpoint PRO, needed to come down 4 inches and left an inch. I had taken off and replaced the sight numerous times and it had held zero, something they did changed the relationship?????/

I guess issues like this are what keeps 308AR builds interesting.......and this forum busy!

Never measured mine but the pin went in hard for me. I had bought a 308 specific FA, or so they said, only problem was it did not let the BCG come back after it was forward. beat the pin back out and put a plug in it.
