Once a kid calls me grandpa I’m in for life, regardless of their parents ever changing relationships. My son and daughter have changed significant others numerous occasions, they dump the other, I keep the grandkids, at present pace I will have a platoon real soon

Twisted Galaxy DIPA by Toppling Goliath Brewing in Decorha Iowa. I can smell some lemony piney dankness. Flavor is a lemon pith pineapple up front. Some juicy orange and melon in the middle and a dry pithy end but it doesn't leave that dry finish for long, turns to a real clean lemonade flavor. As it warms the malt flavor starts to come in. A very good IPA but TG has several other offerings I would choose over this one.

Six month update. Swapped the tourniquets back, heard some stuff on the RAT that made me switch again a few months back and really have not noticed the extra size. The carrier is holding up fine as is the packaging for the supplies, only the thin wrap on the CAT shows any wear at all. Keeping fingers crossed I never need to try out any of the kit beyond just carrying it every day.

Spend a good deal of my time at home getting any of the 14 grandchildren to the range that I can. Had the second oldest Grandson and his girlfriend/live-in at the range the next day; The youngest two the next day, no range pictures with them because I am too slow to keep up as it is, he really is here on this earth JUST FOR THE SHENANIGANS! Time with these kids is a solid gold investment in my future, no "market forces" will ever change what they learned with me.

Here is my oldest Grandson's first AR build, Aero builders set, Faxon barrel with a Wylde chamber, MBT trigger, some Magpul, and Aero for the small parts. He mostly took my advice, I lapped the receiver for him but he did the actual building with my tools. For color he went with clear Cerakote that had some Gun Candy mixed in, not my advice, pictures don't do justice, it really pops in the sun! He had added a RMR on a 22.5 degree mount after we had sighted in the PA scope. He was beside himself because the accuracy went all to crap on him. As soon as I saw the RMR I knew the deal but made him jump through the hoops and find the issue himself with just a few vague instructions on the possible cause. As soon as he pulled the RMR off and saw the rub marks on the scope mount he knew the deal. It's a great feeling to see them learning and solving their own issues.

We used to use a couple trailers like that on the farm. I much prefer 4 wheels and they were considerably heavier but would tolerate more weight for the size so it’s a trade off. I would imagine more modern beds are lighter than the 1960’s models we used. Some leveling jacks would deal with the 2 wheel balance issues.

Why do people do anything beside Aero builds?
jtallen83 replied to Casper's topic in Building a .308AR
Where abouts did you get the plug? Last one I bought the black finish ended up wiping off so now I have a chunk of white derilin. At one time I ran across a plug that was vented to help when shooting suppressed but of course now that I have suppressors to use I can't find that plug. -

ATF changes rules on lenght of ar pistols

That type of state law didn't work out so good for Jeremy Kettler in Kansas. They had a similar law but he lost his case against the atf and the SCOTUS refused to hear the appeal. https://americanmilitarynews.com/2019/06/supreme-court-to-rule-on-us-army-vets-unconstitutional-gun-suppressor-this-week-after-national-controversy/ -
Find any good sources for simple titanium brakes? Looking to lighten the front end of a 338 Federal. Love that carbon fiber look, starting a collection but as you said, light parts cost.

One basic effect is a slight velocity increase, varies from suppressor to suppressor though. Most all of this varies. You will generally get less POI shift when using direct thread but QD makes it easy to share one suppressor with many rifles. I notice more POI shift on my 308's versus 5.56 guns but that is my SDN6 and rifle, other mileage can vary. All my tax stamps are for AAC products so my opinion is skewed that way. They are top notch in customer service, you can fuk up one of their cans with an improper installation and they will send it back to you working with a new paint job, fixed an end cap strike on mine and did it quick. For accuracy assessment I would do some reading at https://precisionrifleblog.com/ Sure wouldn't say using a can made me less accurate, doesn't help as much as a good barrel though. One big positive for me was the kids wanting to shoot the suppressed P716, it was always politely declined at the range before I had s can for it. They are kid friendly One big downside that is usually laughed off is the carbon crusted firearms you will be cleaning. I rarely cleaned weapons before getting suppressors now I have these barriers to both AR function and round count without cleaning. Shot too many rounds before cleaning my pistol can and paid the price with hours of work. I've put a lot of time into speeding it up with an ultrasonic cleaner but in reality a good cleaner, brush, and elbow grease is the best so far as time goes. I spend more time prepping for the handwork in the ultrasonic cleaner but you still have to scrub. Rifle suppressors are easier to maintain but I did have one puke a pile of jacket scraps back down the barrel so they still make a mess. Even my piston powered P716 gets messy fast with the suppressor on it, no real slack there for the piston guns I have seen used. Best advice I can give is when you think you have one picked out read on the topic everyday for a month before you put out for it. Like barrel length and ammo choices it's all about your expectations and intended use.

Nice! Did you get a discount on the receiver with all the missing metal? Breast guy would be proud of that build, he would of course shorten the handguard to get a few more grams off

No experience with the scope but recognize the AADMOUNT, great kit!

Did We Just Become Best Friends? DIPA, brewed and canned for Hoof Hearted Brewing at Great South Bay Brewery in Bay Shore NY and distributed by 12%. Smells peachy, literally like peach juice, hint of malt and citrus as well. Flavor fills your mouth instantly, all the tropical juices, like a flavor bomb. Kind of a Juicy Fruit gum vibe, with a nice light malt background that carries to the pithy dry at the end. Very full and creamy in the mouth with a little fizz on the tongue but sits light in my belly, at 8% ABV you don't really notice any alcohol. I'm not a fan of the cutesy label art and name but even I can bend a little when beer taste this good, I will buy more!

Grandma had that tender thing down with her corned beef, nothing like the store bought and you could feed five all week on a ten. We didn't start smoking them till the late 90's and there were a good number of tough dry briskets before dad figured out what worked for him. Now it's a delicacy with the price, still like ribeye better so steaks it is when laying out the bucks for good stuff.

CDNN has those P716 barrels for $49.99 right now, just posted a link in the sales section -
Back with more $49.99 12.5 inch Sig 716 barrels at CDNN, wonder how those builds fit the "pistol" findings https://www.cdnnsports.com/sig-sauer-716-12-5in-308-chrome-lined-barrel.html?___SID=U#.XSEE1uhKjb0

Yep, some bureaucrat responding in a manner that will please his boss. He gets transferred in a year and the next guy in the slot responds with more and different minutia. If you hear POTUS mention it then it is time to "get worried" and start responding. It is the low hanging fruit for the anti's, similar to bumpstocks there are many that will not care and see it as a sensible compromise to outlaw AR pistols altogether. I might just start collecting some $200 stamps and hold on to them a little longer...................... -
Checked out the suppressor my dad uses, same SDN6, and it was free of jacket material. He is shooting from a lot of ammo we bought better than a year ago, same S&B 200 gr. though. Hopefully this is just a one lot issue, hate to lose a good cheap ammo for the 300, no time to reload now.

Space Camper IPA by Boulevard Brewing Co in KC Missouri. A basic IPA aroma, malty with some citrusy pine notes. Flavor is much juicier up front, lots of tropical flavor then into the malty backbone and a dry hop finish with a pithy and piney flavor. Not a bad beer, an easy one to drink real fast.

Public Access On Air DIPA brewed and canned by Dorchester Brewing Co. Boston Mass. For Public Access Liquids. Citrus on the lemon end for aroma, a bit of a malty note as well. Flavor is tough, so much, so good, so different but so familiar. Has that tropical fruit, mango, papaya, sweet but a ripe sweet not a sugar sweet. There is a nice malty backbone with a hint of caramel. A nice mild dry finish, lemon type dry, not too dry but enough that your ready for another swig right away. Very smooth and creamy in the mouth but doesn't feel as heavy in the gut as it does the mouth. I'm hoping there are a couple of these left when I make the next beer run.

Everybody Wants Some!! DIPA brewed with Azacca hops. Brewed and canned for Hoof Hearted Brewing at Great South Bay Brewery in Bay Shore NY and distributed by 12%. Light citrus aromas with a hint of fresh cut grass, maybe that was just the neighbor mowing? Get some not so ripe grapefruit notes up front, citrusy, peachy, grassy, lots of hop going on here. Finishes with a resiny green fizzy dry note. Suck it up and spend the money on this one, a unique hop flavor I will look for again.

Phantasmagoria DIPA by Krebs Brewing Co. in Krebs OK. Real citrus bomb to the nose, ripe orange, blood orange, smells really sweet. Flavor is a big citrus up front, ripe orange and grapefruit then maybe a little melon. Nice backbone of maltiness with a boozy touch, Finishes dry with a hint of pine, something green flavor, slight coconut flavor comes on as it warms. Really good beer, has distinct flavor changes as you drink.

No pressure signs on brass, it's subsonic so it shouldn't be that high a pressure. Rumors are this batch of 200 grain bullets they used has weak jackets or the bond between core and jacket is poor, finding nothing on the interwebs though.
