  1. What's been on your mind lately @shepp ?
  2. You fukr, gotta remind me how whipped I am. You guys cut me way more slack than she does for my "tinfoil hat" ideas. I can see in my mind the hands on hips, head leaned forward, eyes boring in look I get when I start to explain our Grandchildren may need these rifles to secure their Liberty someday.
  3. I'm looking at a pile of MBT's in the lower parts drawer thinking about all the money I saved and then next thing you know I'm making mental notes on what the rifles to be built around them will look......I don't dare say a word when the wife buys new shoes.
  4. Irish Blessing Oak Aged Coffee Stout by Boulder Beer Co. you might be able to guess where there from. It is said this stout was aged on oak chips soaked in Tullamore D.E.W. Big coffee aroma, just the mellowest hint of whisky. Big coffee flavor, joined by very roasty malt up front There is also a creamy element, not sweet but you would swear there is a touch of cream in the coffee. The whisky picks up some as it warms in the mouth. Leaves a real dry smoky flavor, hints of dark chocolate, hard to describe as it's strong but not overbearing. Don't expect that strong oak barrel aged flavor but if you like coffee then you will like this stout
  5. Any of these here? https://lhagear.com/nordic-components/
  6. They decided to reject the case so, stare decisis, the lower court decision becomes precedent, just not as strong, not a roe v. wade type strength yet. https://bearingarms.com/tom-k/2019/06/11/scotus-rejects-kansas-suppressor-case/
  7. Any other details available for this barrel? Length, gas system, profile, gas block brand? I looked at their web site but didn't see any barrels so maybe they don't produce them now?
  8. I find it ironic that there was a mass shooting with a suppressor involved right before this decision is handed down. And still very little in the way of details on the shooting.
  9. And THAT is what Uncle's are for
  10. Welcome from Iowa, via Missouri!
  11. Doubt it's that, more like the beer is full of flavor..........unlike many on the shelf.
  12. Huh? Didn’t read that, looks like I will be making a return.
  13. Nothing to do with the split case but I had the dribble problem on a build and an Armalite ejector spring cured it, long shot as I still think there is a timing issue. Split case would make me want to check headspace but then two different barrels with the same problem and having the maker check it would lead you to believe it wouldn't be headspace. Hang tight, smarter guys than me will be along.
  14. Hard to see the hook on the extractor but nothing in the pictures jumps out to me as a bad extractor. I assume it would be an Armalite bolt? New extractor springs are cheap, might pay to replace it, maybe the buffer spring as well. When you say the case is stuck how stuck is it? Do you have to beat it out from the muzzle or will mortaring get it out? Just thinking out loud but if it is cycling to soon that could cause the extractor to slip off. If that’s the case a heavier buffer may help. Just poking in the dark as there isn’t much info out there on that cartridge in an AR-10.
  15. I can’t wait to get this trigger installed and try it out. It kinda hurt to click the place order button knowing how much would be deducted from my account but hopefully I only cry once!
  16. Is the tension on the pan and swivel smooth? Thinking that might be the answer for coyote hunting, gets me up out of the grass no matter how tall or short it is.
  17. Weight on the buffer? Pictures of the extractor would help.
  18. Can't say enough for the quality of this companies tools. I had a set with straight bits when I took a gunsmithing course as a kid, came from Brownells. I recently ran across this set of with allen bits from the same vintage, just as nice as I remembered. Now if I can just find a vintage set with the straight bits again, gonna have to buy new to get the torx version. Don't use straights often but the fit on their bits was so exact you had to work hard to get one to slip if you picked the right size, highly recommend them if you work on any vintage firearms. I have not handled the newer ones but they are still made in the USA and still sold at Brownells; https://www.brownells.com/search/index.htm?k=chapman+screwdriver&ksubmit=y
  19. Hoppen-Daz Mango Milkshake IPA from Bur Oak Brewing in Columbia, MO. I smell fresh cantaloupe, a hint of citrus, and a general tropical fruit note. Ripe mango is in the flavor big time. Notes of citrus, pine and a little dank. There is also a malty backbone all the way through. I am not tasting any milkshake, at least not any milkshake I have ever tasted. A nice bitter finish, not overpowering but enough to balance the sweet flavors. A very good beer, at 6% ABV and a $1.99 a can I'll grab more if I see it.
  20. Gives me great pause on building a PCC. I must not have a grasp on the system because I thought it would not be possible to have an out of battery ignition without a BCG issue? Scary schit!
  21. Then I have failed, my intentions are to spur investigation, explore possibilities, expand vision. The only truth that really counts is the one that is arrived at by oneself. Trust can be assigned in levels, the words of those that have lied to me are placed on a much lower level and met with much skepticism. Obviously you have some interest in pursuing this discussion or you wouldn't have tagged me................ maybe I didn't fail entirely.
  22. I have gotten some good results with a Ballistic Advantage 20 inch match barrel , .936 at the gas block. I doubt I can shoot well enough to utilize all the accuracy it has. The target shown below was zeroing the scope, she puts them in tight if I do my part. Not sure about 195's in a 308AR platform the heaviest I am aware of are the Berger 185's but I learn something new all the time.
  23. 👍Hands down the best bang for the buck on AR triggers.
  24. Aero will have some good sales come the 4th, they make a great receiver set for a fair price. I consider the barrel, BCG, and trigger the heart, also strongly suggest using upper and lower from the same maker. A little more info on your budget would help. Heavy or light on the weight? Throw out some more crumbs on your vision of this build.
  25. Grand Cru Maple bourbon barrel aged stout and barley wine style ale from Evil Twin Brewing by Dorchester Brewing Co in Boston, MA. Aroma is a boozy maple with a hint of raisin. Has that raisiny dried fruit flavor with a good dose of maple. Plenty of boozy bourbon start to finish with hints of toffee caramel. The warmer it gets the more barley wine notes you taste. A very smooth brew, boozy but no real burn from the 12.5% ABV, does warm the tummy though!
