This schit is a bit newer than "yuppy" but get your point, I do really like the beer to the point of embarrassment. Pray tell what flavors and aromas would great me if I choose a Coors? It has been more than a couple decades since I have tried that variety.

Imperial Golden Nugget DIPA from Toppling Goliath Brewing in Decorha Iowa. Fruity smell, a little piney dank as well. Orange juice, fresh off the tree orange juice is what comes to mind on the first taste. Very complex, deep flavor, sweet then a little bitter, other tropical notes, even pine peeks out just a bit. Feels thick in the mouth but leaves a crisp clean palate in the end. Almost an oily feel left behind on the lips, like it is oozing hops, a hops orgy. Starting to wonder if hops are addicting, spent stupid money on this bottle but hoping they have a couple more when I go back…………….GOOD BEER

Even if I were dumb enough to pay $1 a round why does the government get to select what I invest in for retirement? How did we let this happen? All I want is TRUE LIBERTY!

That explains the cheesy grin he always had.............

About the time you have watered it down enough that the main ingredients flavor is indiscernible. Those oatmeal porters are miles closer to what beer historically is than anything InBev puts on your bar.

What do you have on order or in the mail? Part 2

Still a few days to get another at that sale price -
I have a couple AAC SDN-6's.

So my dumb arse was actually contemplating taking the upper apart to see what the twist was....as I stare at a cleaning rod, masking tape, and tape measure. Looks like it is a 1-9, I keep getting a turn in 8 3/4 inches. Looks like I can narrow ammo selection to the lighter stuff, can't wait to try some of that 40 grain shoots like a laser stuff. ?

Right around $40, obviously custom with the polish and the very well done bends and ends. Mine was 11 inches but I highly recommend you measure with your gas block in place to be sure.
-
I am running the Sig bolt in it but it headspaces and runs on a D Wilson 308 bolt as well. Gas block hangs over the step by a bit to line up the ports so if it were one of those blocks that has an opening in the clamping surface it may not seat well. An SLR gas block jig was a big help getting the dimples in the correct place. Just bought a second barrel when they had them for $49.99, DPMS style bolt headspaces on it as well. Don't forget to grab a 716 bolt catch as well, works in everything I have tried it in. Edit: Just had a Sig 716 bolt catch not fit in an Aero receiver I just got, odds are just a little thinning and it would have worked though.

So I can buy expensive, overpriced chunks of gold or silver from certain bankers and it counts as a retirement investment. I thought why not invest in lead, copper, and brass with those funds that wall street banks seem to think is theirs. They tell me no way can it be kept as an investment in that form, if it were in futures that don't really exist then there is a method......... Why can I not invest my retirement money as I see fit! https://www.brownells.com/ammunition/rifle-ammo/lake-city-5-56mm-nato-xm855-bulk-barrel-prod124685.aspx?avs|Special-Filters_1=In%2bStock&avs|Price_1=800xzzx00%2bTO%2b*

Interesting tool, coming from X-caliber doesn't give me the warm fuzzies though. If they made it well balanced then it should work fine but seeing that 1/4 inch drive on the end makes me wonder if there will be any wobble while lapping. PTG's lapping tools are $25 each and perfectly balanced. That and lapping tools are an expendable tool so eventually you are left with just a wrench. http://www.x-caliber.net/bart-20

Yes, it works great.

LR308 (low) handguard problems
jtallen83 replied to Czgunner's topic in DPMS LR-308 General, Technical Discussion
Possible that nut has a high spot on the surface that bears against the barrel extension collar. If it is only applying force to one spot maybe it could force the extension far enough off center-line to rub. With the other nut not having issues I would make a pretty close inspection on that AIM barrel nut. -
Nice, can't wait to see what it will do when you're both better acquainted. No doubt she'll do fine if she puts down an iron sight group of XM80 during break in like that, I can't hit anything twice with that last batch I bought. Going to run any 175gr loads?

Good to see you Wash....ok maybe I didn't need to see you but it is great to know you are back on your feet already!

My latest Beachin Tactical sling, just like it was made for it, because it was! Just told Brother Jacob what color the "pistol" was and he handled it

Need to see how far into the upper the gas tube goes, seen lots of them on the short side.

This M-15 NM build turns out to be a slut, she goes all the way on the first date, no messing around just straight to the good stuff! 5 rounds to a 100 yard zero, might need a couple more clicks left but I will wait for less wind and fresher eyes to do more adjusting. Basic .223 ammo, Norma TAC 223 55 grain FMJ. She put out a 1 inch, 5 round group at 100 yards third try, the other 4 groups were all under two inches for about a 1.5 MOA average, and we've only known each other 5 days, this bitch is easy! Looking forward to getting a pair of young eyes on it and some match ammo to see what it might do. Now the sweetest part is I have less than $500 in it. I know eBay is a dirty word for many but most of this rifle was gathered up there. Armalite National Match upper minus handguards and front post was $260(real deal Armalite with number on the take down pin lug), bought the stock, 3 sets of handguards, grip, and buffer system for $30 a few years back, robbed a front sight post from an Armalite sight that cost me $30. Parts not from eBay are a MBT trigger at $95 and an Aero Gen II lower and parts kit for $75, finish matched the Armalite upper nearly perfect and the pins are so tight I have to use a small hammer and plastic punch to get the take down pin started back out, not even a hint of wiggle. It doesn't seem to like the Magpul mag though, doesn't lock back every time, mag fits very tight, couple of failure to feeds early in ten round strings, going to get a standard 20 round metal mag and see what that does. I had given some thought to parting out the upper but I think I better leave it together with those groups, that and Dad fit the handguards to the NM tube so it has sentimental value now.

Shot a few boxes with it today. Front sight focus was OK, target was a blurry blob and went down hill the longer I shot. The results were so good I'm thinking I need to shoot it as is for now, maybe a smaller front sight post so I can see a bigger blur for the target?

Pictures, cases that were extracted, gas tube inside the upper. You will need details on size of buffer, depth of buffer tube, length and coil count on spring. Use lots of lube during break in. Does it lock the bolt back after firing a round when it does function? PSA is notorious for poor buffer systems but they change up so much you will want lots of details so our resident experts can diagnose the issue.

Thanks Doc, Loved the numbered options they lay out for selection, odds are I'll take the phone number to talk to a real person option! Haven't tracked down my latest prescription yet, put it where I wouldn't loose it so I know it isn't lost....... If I read correctly on this topic then there is a chance that my prescription glasses combined with the correct size aperture may correct focus issues. Found I have a .060 and a .048 now. Then there is the front post selection process. Need to assess and decide just how far down the rabbit hole I wanna chase this thing, should have known that opinions, information, and miracle gadgets would all be abundant on the subject of national match sights. Having @Armed Eye Doc around for subjects like this is the only way I could have separated numbers that matter from the minutia of salesmanship.
