  1. I can't really claim jack $hit. But everybody knows that I HATE cleaning rifles. I hadn't even touched my Mk18 since the last AZ trip back in 2019. Didn't ever think about taking her apart. Once again. I HATE cleaning rifles. I'd rather build another one than clean one. But taking the Mk18 out to the fall meet-up this last November. She ran flawless. And I didn't even lube her before shooting her after a couple years. Though, to be honest and fair. I did rack her a couple times before loading her. Just to make sure that she wasn't too dry. After that, she just ran. As usual. PS - I did add a couple drops of the AZ lube to her after the first mag. Just because. And I'm not shilling this $hit just because he's a personal friend. This $hit just WORKS. Suppressed....un-suppressed. This stuff just works itself into the parts of the rifle.
  2. My Mk18 runs flawless. And I've beat the living $hit out of that thing. Running it time and time again, without even cleaning it. I think she's down to only one of the gas rings left on the BCG. The others have twisted off over the "many" rounds put through her. And she just keeps running. Now that has absolutely nothing to do with the rail system that's attached to it. But the Daniels RIS II that the Mk18 runs, is every bit as good, if not tighter, than any other quad rail made for the AR-15 platform. Even compared to Geissele rails, that you can literally BEAT people with, if the rifle ever goes click instead of bang. The RIS rail for the large frame AR is pretty much a unicorn at this point. Made from Unobtanium as it were. They can't be found. Anybody who has one......isn't letting go of it. Period. Hell.....I'm still looking for one too. But Daniels's being Daniels's. I'd be willing to buy into the RIS III rail. I would guess, right out of the gate, that the platform is gonna be solid.

    Grilling

    I'll gladly take the leftovers.
  4. To follow up a little. (yes, yes....I'm kind of a train nerd too) This is a great example of a "very cool" old diesel locomotive during start-up. Keep in mind. This fuker is anywhere between 50 and 60 years old.
  5. And this is how us knuckle dragging, ape-like, Cro Magnon type of fukkers have evolved.
  6. It wasn't that she didn't like me. Someone had joked around with her telling her that I was a hard ass and didn't like women, and she kept telling me that I was gonna like her by the end of the night. I just kept simply shaking my and saying no while laughing.
  7. Yeah. That's how you know that he's really pissed.
  8. You coulda put me in the picture ya Fuker.
  9. Here he is, once again, telling it like it is. We need him around the campfire at the SDTF.
  10. Welcome from Maryland.
  11. I saw Edgar's brother, Johnny Winter, in Baltimore one time YEARS ago. Great show.
  12. Right there with you brother. I'd rather build another one than clean one.
  13. While "In the drunk" of course.
  14. I'd say more.....BUT....you feed me coffee in the desert in the mornings. So we'll roll with the caveman theory.
  15. You barbarian savage.
  16. What's this "cleaning"thing you guys are talking about?
  17. Good lookin unit. Fine job my man.
  18. Sounds like you've got the plan down dude. I'd jump in on the 10" barrel camp. I built my SBR with a 10.3 Noveske barrel. And just using an EOTech HWS, that thing is deadly accurate out to a couple hundred yards. Either suppressed subs, or regular supers. If you throw a LPVO on something like that, it's only going to get more deadly for those pesky 4 leggers. That's great that you're getting your boy involved at that age.

  21. You had me with this. Fuk those no leggers.
  22. A regular open end wrench won't work? That's usually what I use on muzzle devices.
  23. Definitely what Doc just said. Case in point. I built an MK12 in 6.5 Grendel that I just took to the annual desert meet-up back in November. I took 3 different makes of 10 round magazines just to function test them. On top of that. I bought some 30 round mags locally once in AZ. 2 out of the 3, 10 round mags ran just fine. One didn't like to run. The locally sourced 30 round mags were nothing but jam-o-matics. So always try different mags in any rifle, just to rule them out. After all, they are one of the moving parts of the rifle.
  24. A great, short read. Good find brother.
  25. Great read, and a great find Rene.
