As the title says. That's what it took this time to get the tax stamps back for the 2 SBR's that I've been waiting to finish. It sounds bad, but I've waited longer for others in the past. And this time, I even had the ATF screw with me a couple times.......which made no sense. They bounced the paperwork back to me the first time about a month ago. Saying that I didn't check the correct box for registering as a trust (had it checked as an individual). Even though it was the exact same way that I had filed my previous form 1's. Then, 2 weeks later, they bounced it back again, saying that the OAL didn't meet the Maryland minimum requirement......which I had forgotten that the socialist in my state had lengthened it last October (the same time that the AR-15 new transfer ban went into place). My stupid ass had measured the build's with the stock's fully collapsed. Totally my fault on that one. Which, as crazy as it sounds, you measure them with the stock fully extended. Go figure huh? My problem with the ATF is......why didn't they say that when they bounced the forms back the first time? That's the kind of stuff that frustrates the hell out of you. And that's also one of the little ways that they screw with you and drag the whole process out a little longer.
Anyway. Nuff said. Now I gotta box up the lowers and get them off to Orion for engraving. So, probably about another month, and these little bastards will finally be complete. I'll update, as usual, when anything changes.
