  1. Scope eye and Garand thumb. Things that you learn not to do. Usually only takes once to learn it thoroughly.
  2. Welcome from Maryland
  3. Gotta get the lowers engraved dude.
  4. Now that's some funny $hit there.
  5. Welcome aboard.
  6. Welcome from MD
  7. Damn. That's a good price.
  8. If you all need to "test" some colors. I've always got a couple things that I could send you to try it on. I'm starting to lean to Tom's FDE/patriot brown way anyway. <laughs>
  9. I use a standard buffer along with the "pig" brake with my 7.5" shorty. And she runs just fine. Had her out yesterday just to play with.
  10. And.......why start now?
  11. Just like.........well..........I ain't gonna say anything. <lmao>
  12. Now that thing looks totally sexy Larry. Good job.........especially with the roll pin.
  13. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ <lmao>
  14. Now there's a deal if I ever heard one.
  15. We'll let it slide this time. BUT................................
  16. +2 <thumbsup>
  17. Muzzle device?
  18. Welcome aboard Captain Kirk. There's a lot of stuff that you can read on the board here to try and find what you're looking for. Otherwise......throw out any qeustions that you may have. Between all of the guys around here, we've probably built a lot of different variations of the "large" AR platform rifles. And many are willing to help out. Also.......willing to help you spend part of your life savings. <laughs>
  19. Right there with you my brutha.
  20. I don't know why someone would make fun of this sickness. I mean......if you find a stray part......it almost cries out to have a complete rifle assembled around it. <laughs>
  21. About the same time that they've cashed my other ones in the past. Roughly, about a month after the forms are submitted. The "MAN" always makes sure that he gets his first.
  22. Break out the hammer. <laughs>
  23. It's part of a marketing scheme from the sunglasses industry.
  24. As the title says. That's what it took this time to get the tax stamps back for the 2 SBR's that I've been waiting to finish. It sounds bad, but I've waited longer for others in the past. And this time, I even had the ATF screw with me a couple times.......which made no sense. They bounced the paperwork back to me the first time about a month ago. Saying that I didn't check the correct box for registering as a trust (had it checked as an individual). Even though it was the exact same way that I had filed my previous form 1's. Then, 2 weeks later, they bounced it back again, saying that the OAL didn't meet the Maryland minimum requirement......which I had forgotten that the socialist in my state had lengthened it last October (the same time that the AR-15 new transfer ban went into place). My stupid ass had measured the build's with the stock's fully collapsed. Totally my fault on that one. Which, as crazy as it sounds, you measure them with the stock fully extended. Go figure huh? My problem with the ATF is......why didn't they say that when they bounced the forms back the first time? That's the kind of stuff that frustrates the hell out of you. And that's also one of the little ways that they screw with you and drag the whole process out a little longer. Anyway. Nuff said. Now I gotta box up the lowers and get them off to Orion for engraving. So, probably about another month, and these little bastards will finally be complete. I'll update, as usual, when anything changes.
  25. Ahh....negative. I don't do the whole ebay thing.
