Speaking of Kryptek....................... But I love the gear that I've got from BDS. I don't wanna sound like I'm pimping their product. But, it's nice stuff. Wide shoulder straps for load-bearing. Heavily stitched for durability. And hell, the slings are made the same way. I love the 2/1 point slings that I've got from them. It keeps my 10 SBR slung pretty well........though it's a heavy little bastard.

Definitely go "Suppressed"! Or..........just have fun with it.

That's exactly what I was gonna say Rob. That's why I chose some of their stuff. A lifetime guarantee.....custom made....fair price....made in the USA (Cali of all places). I think the chest rigs that I bought for me and my son (a Christmas present to him last year) were only somewhere in the 250 range. The V-ops 308 model. Takes about 4-6 weeks from time of order until delivery. Nice stuff. Very durable. Well made. Now, as Tom says....Tactical Tailor makes some nice looking stuff also. But I can only speak of (first hand) the BDS stuff. Kick ass rig.....and slings.

Picked up a Viridian X5L-RS laser/light combo and an EOTech 553 for one of my SBR's this weekend.Totally unexpected of course. A typical story......that starts as mine usually do. So I went stumbling through the door of my local gun pusher.......................................and you all know how that usually goes.

Yep. Pretty much why just about all of my AR's have Hogue grips, AAC muzzle devices and Harris bipods (if they get a bipod that is). Though I did pick up an Atlas bipod today, and I gotta admit they're pretty nice.

Have I ever mentioned that you suck? <laughs> Bitch of it is. I actually had the opportunity to get a "real" 10B years ago. But that was just after going through my separation with the ex-nut. Couldn't come off of the 1400 that they wanted for it then. Now.........I couldn't be stroking the check fast enough for that sum-bitch. Keep on getting up 2336. I'll definitely like to see this thing come together for you.

Yeah, I've got a couple of those. They're my absolute favorite. And they're not that bad price-wise either. Pretty much the only sling that I'll buy at this point. But I'm also one of those "once you find something you like" kinda guys.

Hey Jeb. I'd contact Armalite directly about the rough feeling trigger. They may be able to take care of that for you. The 2 stage trigger in my SASS (factory....haven't changed it out yet) is "buttery smooth". No grit, roughness or slop. As far as outfitting the thing with a red dot......I'm guessing that you have Popeye arms. <laughs> The SASS (mine at least) tends to add up in weight once you start fitting it out with accessories. Break in. Well, everybody has their own opinion when it comes to break in. Armalite suggests the shoot, wet patch and brush method for the first 40 to 50 rounds. But, as I said, everybody has their own thing. Either way, you won't be disappointed. The AR-10 SASS is an outstanding weapon. And just to give you some ideas............................................................

Sounds like you're modifying an A2 receiver for this. So I'm guessing that you're not going to have the charging handle "inside" the carry handle. I've been on the hunt for one of the original 10B patterns for quite some time myself. You've got you're work cut out for you my man. Hope you keep us informed of your progress. I'll keep my eye out for a carrier and a 20" barrel, and post up if I come across anything.
