  1. For the first time in a long time, I don't have anything on order outstanding (or at least I don't think that I do). But, don't worry fella's. I got the little surprise while poking around in my basement yesterday...........that my water heater is leaking around the draincock. YEA! So I guess that I get to replace it on this upcoming weekend. F@#K ME! Guess that I can't complain too much though. According to the tag, I last replaced it in 88. Yep....that's 25 years on that bad boy. Definitely got every dime outta that thing.Time to break out the torch this weekend.

  3. I'm just a backwards kinda guy.
  4. Me and my girl Laura wanna say "Thank you" Neal.
  5. Not to be anti-social (even though I am). If my range is crowded, I don't even get out of the truck. I just turn around and leave.
  6. Just to clarify, the P308 SBR is going to be one of only 2 of the SR25/M110/DPMS patterned rifles that I have. The rest of mine are Armalite's (shocker by my tag line). I've been kinda going through a short-barrel fixation over the last 2 or so years. But this one will be the only factory built one that I have for the AR platform (thus the pricetag). I've built my other ones. As far as POF. I did a lot of studying before I took the plunge for their version of a SBR 308 AR rifle. It's not just the rails that you're paying for. BIllet upper and lower, NP3 coated bolt carrier w/roller bearing cam pin, short stroke chromed piston system, KNS pins, combat fire control group, 12.5" heavy fluted barrel (you always seem to pay more for less) and other details. All of these things add up even if you try to build a rifle from the ground up. Nothing is really "cheap" in the 308 AR platform. But there is noticeable differences in quality machining and workmanship from different manufactures. Where some may have issues that pop up from different users....others never get a whiff of a complaint by any of their users. As with anything in the world of weapons. Personal preference always has a little bit to do with it also. Not getting defensive. Just pointing out why POF might seem pretty steep in their prices. But, for that matter, other manufactures have their high-end rifles.
  7. Sorry dude. Like you......I just happen to like nice s h i t.
  8. I hear ya. All I can say, is that I've filled out the forms the same way for every NFA purchase, and I haven't had any issues..........short of the long-ass time it takes for the things to be approved.
  9. LWRCI. Pricey.....but nice quality. The Reaper that my son has is awesome. Well built. Solid. And accurate.
  10. Are you sayin..........Right in the neck? <lmao>
  11. Now, you know that I'm waiting on my POF SBR. You're just sayin that to ruffle my feathers. <laughs> When the man is right......the man is right.
  12. Yeah. It's part of the trust. You have to send the WHOLE thing (copy of trust that is) with every purchase along with the form 4. And with the form I showed you, I just had to add the new purchase to it. That's why I don't understand the whole "add tax stamp and date issued" thing.
  13. Good deal Matt. Glad they finally gave you your money back.
  14. Totally understand my man. Newborn cost's definitely override the rifle cost's. Glad to see you back goofball.
  15. Yep MRAD. I've got him looking around for either that or an MSR. I like em both. Of course, then I gotta find a range that I can shoot it at. Just a plain waste to shoot those things at 100 or 200 yards.
  16. Yep. We've got some of that too. <laughs>
  17. Hmm. Sounds strange. Obviously you can't put a copy of the tax stamp on there without having it yet. And the stamp itself will be stuck to the front of the form 4. It's not like you can take it off......and you wouldn't want to. I'd ask your lawyer that set up the trust for you. I would think that he wouldn't charge you for a 2 minute question. But, you never know with lawyers.
  18. I totally forgot to tell all of you degenerates about this. I'll keep it short. So I stumbled through the local gun pushers door last weekend, just to talk to him about bolt guns....since we can't buy most of the nasty evil semi-auto's in this communist state anymore. So he was checking on availability on either of the 2 that I'm interested in.....the Remington MSR....or the Barrett MRAD. So while I'm standing there, this little thing caught my eye. And since they're still cash and carry......needless to say.....it was strictly an impulse buy. I'm not really a shotgun guy, but they're still pretty fun to play with. Mossberg
  19. Got it. KInda the same way around here. Multiple accents. From the white-trash Baltimore accent (no offense to any of my brothers from there...just a description), the plain jane accent that you hear on any TV broadcast from this area, to the slight southern draw. Pretty much an area full of mutts.
  20. I think that the schedule that you're referring to, is the one describing what you're adding to the trust. So you have to have it on there or you might be rejected. And there's nothing worse than waiting for months.....only to be rejected. Luckily....hasn't happened to me yet. Is this the form that you're talking about? This is the one in my trust that I use to assign new stuff to the trust. REED ASSIGNMENT TO REVOCABLE TRUST-RONALD REVISED.pdf
  21. Would that be pronounced a 12 pacentah up your way? <laughs>
  22. That is still one bad-assed rifle brother. Me LIKE!
  23. Need a spotter?
  24. Just add the new can to the schedule. You'll be good.
  25. Uh oh........everybody grab a corner.
