I went shooting with a friend this weekend and used his spotting scope, I assumed it was cheaper (cuz I had never heard the name) but it got the job done and was clear. So later I asked him about it. I'm not 100% but the way I take it is the factory set up is for emission, aftermarket filter allow smoother flow and also the cold air intake relocates the filter location.

Think I'm happy with it for awhile still would like to level off and put some exhaust on it. But I got some gun parts to buy.
