Is that what you limp wristed SoCal'r drink?? nah I don't drink much hard stuff anymore, I'm fine with a good craft beer.

I now sub in and out all kinds of veggies and since I got my cast iron, I normally do it in there. Right now asparagus is in season so it's lots of asparagus, potatos and mushrooms. Wish I could find some morels but the weather hadn't been cooperating. In the summer once the garden is going it's what ever I can find out there.

Idk about out there, but birds here are 20-25# (25# bird is huge). Figure 3-4 # of guts and what not. Lots of guys here just breast them, which is a waste. The legs aren't like your pen raised birds more tendons and what not, but they're good smoked or used for stock.
