If they planed on killing it why spend all the money on ads for it? I heard rumors awhile back about n Korea being butt hurt over this and attacks if it was released. Great advice, as for ammo cost look online for decent bulk ammo, I like SGAmmo.com but there are a lot of other places out there too. Practice with somthing cheaper then when hunting season comes around grab your 20$ box of winchester hunting ammo and dial your gun in for shooting that again, normally only takes a few rounds.
