  1. I turned friend on to my close FFL family friend who has now ordered for him a .308 receiver set from SI Defence. Cost to FFL guy is $475 & he'll add 10% to that. SI supposed to start turning out .308 sets in about 1.5 weeks.
  2. Thanks, memory jogged now... <thumbsup>
  3. Does the SI .308 lower take small or large trigger pins? Need to make trigger order. Can't remember what the "standard" size is. Thank too whom knows....
  4. I wouldn't go near that thing. Probably Chinese made with low grade glass & will it hold up? I am happy with my SS 12x42 mil/mil. It's built very well for the money and the glass is decent. Turrets work like good quality and the Milquad reticle is nice and it's useful.
  5. I've been a Niners fan all my life, raised on them as I grew up in San Jose where a huge bulk of us fans come from. Anyway we had SB party my house & lots of good food and fixins'. I was drinking IPA beers the whole game and with the way it went my stomach got too nervous and I lost any appetite. At end of game I was drunk & furious. No need to get into why if you witnessed game. I'm better today but still..... :'(
  6. The fact they had help from sheriffs is quite disturbing.
  7. There's one ass hole who can forget re-election. Lucky for him he gets lifetime non Obamacare & fkn sweet pension. Douche Canoe mofo's. I'm tired of it. "I am Spartacus", or am I John Gault?
  8. IMO you don't need to install one. The bolt is bigger & heavier on 308AR. It slams back to battery with authority every time. I know at least that the SR-25 does not even incorporate a facility for an FA, at least the older ones don't but I don't know about new ones. And besides that the bolt carrier I have does not have any serrations for a FA anyhow. What I did. I went to hardware store and bought a black chrome bolt cover thingy. The kind that a custom car guy would utilize under the hood of his bitchen car. I found one that fits inside FA hole perfectly, I think it's 1/2" diameter? I used red loctite to make it stick. Looks great!!

    Tumbling

I'm pretty much low volume shooter, especially lately. But it's SS tumbling and nothing else here for me now.
  10. :)
  11. Oh well thanks guys. I was concerned with the pull weight. Trigger sellers often say no less than 4lbs for a 308AR. I guess it's like bullet makers publishing shy charge weights. But it's a target gun he wants.
  12. Idk maybe the DMR.
  13. For a mostly target 308AR?
  14. I dunno, I think I can take her <dontknow>
  15. Read it last night and then slept well <thumbsup>
  16. My primer pockets start to crap out after 3 or 4 uses anyway. If you have a bolt gun then much more worth it. I anneal anyway with a vise, drill, 1/2 deep socket & Coleman bottle with a torch attachement. I'll anneal after two uses and then I'm lucky if I get 5x total. Gas gun beats the crap out it. I could reduce charges but I don't think that would help much <dontknow>

    D'Oh!!

That is the spent bullets they be collecting.
  18. Oh right... Oh well forget the Fulton. They only have lowers up for sale anyway. SI is going to get busy with matched .308 sets soon. You guys are funny though <thumbsup>
  19. If they are 3 weeks out on the .308 receivers I wonder how that translates into when they ship the one I want to order? I just need to spruce up my FFL guy.
  20. No fkn primers!!! And I mean NO FKN primers, dammit!!
  21. For consistent charges I measure by hand off of a RCBS 10/10 scale. Takes longer but screw it!! My rifle poop is accurate. Your dies. For .308 I highly recommend Forster Ultra die set. You'll get seater and sizer die in the set and the seater has a dial on the top so you can easily, and very accurately, adjust your seating depth. The seater leaves very little bullet run out according to all reports I've gotten from anybody whom checks for that. Forster and Redding makes the best dies. Forster will cost less.
  22. Okay got email from SI Defense and they will begin production on their matched .308 receiver sets. I'm going to contact my friend who wants me to build him 308AR & have him agree on this set.
  23. Guill, I just received email from Chris. I asked about .308 receivers and BCG. He stated they aren't producing BCG's, but receivers will start in 3 weeks. ""Thank you for your interest in our products. We are only about 3 weeks out on 308 matched upper and lower receiver sets. We are not in production with bolt carrier groups. Feel free to call and place an order for your matched sets. Chris Baldwin SI Defense Manager
  24. Thanks guys
  25. Would you recommend the FAR 308 lower reciever?
