good work from the shooting officer my only question is why didn't the officer who got grabbed shoot the suspect when he was running at him?

without knowing the speed your ammo of choice ,in your rifle is going then you are shooting blind no reticle can just shoot you your dope in both 5.56 and 308 two different animals it is all about speed of bullet out of your gun.....weight of bullet ,twist of barrel,altitude, temperature,and a few other factors when you start going beyond 400 yards as a example federal gold match 168 HPBT ammo drops 35 inches at 400 yards and 105 inches at 600 yards and 315 inches at 900 so you see many of your misses may be to bad dope it is critical to have good dope and consistent ammo if you hope to have any luck beyond 400 also you have to figure wind which is another conversation...

just going to throw this out there but what are you basing your come ups on at 400 and 600 yards do you have solid info for those ranges based on chronographed speed on your loads BC.coefficient etc the 308 will be dropping like a rock at 600 it does not take much to miss solid dope from 400 out is a must

two keys that are every hard eating clean, and walking if you can do those two things you are on the winning side fight the eating habits all you can every piece of non prossessed food you eat makes you that much better then just walk as far as you have time for make those two things a priority and you will do well and loose weight..

What is your average rate of fire? how fast are you shooting and how many rounds do you shoot before letting the gun cool?

We have the western Rattle snake here they are kind of a greenish brown and only get maybe 3 to 4 ft. long when we moved to our new house years ago we had piles of old roofing and garbage all over took two 10 ton dumpsters to get it all and never saw one snake then after it was all cleaned up we killed 6 over the next 4 years and have not seen one here for 4 or 5 years which is ok with the little lady her policy is if it is within a half mile of this place she will run over take a hoe, or sig 320 or 12 gauge whichever comes first they scare the hell out of her..... this is the same kind we have

if you see scratchings up on the side of a tree like 4 ft or so that my friend is bear, that is his way of marking his territory no worries they are more afraid of you than you think now if it is cougar 90% of the time they scratch on a log that is down, not a upright tree and they cover there poo with sticks and dirt bears leave it for you to step in.....look around water holes this time of year in the evening and morning, then they will bed in thick cover for shade on the north side of hills, rocks, etc it will stay shady there longer... I will bet there are some monster bucks in there .....

More hocus pocus, BS it is just common sense to see the roll of a suppressor hearing protection I wish every gun in this country was sold with one and it was taught in school to protect your hearing and all the available ways to do so this country is so backwards in so many ways and then it thinks it is so progressive in others.... european country's sell suppressors with the sale of guns why is this even arguable?
