The climate in Idaho is where you want to live I live,I live at 1400 ft elevation and have mild winters , long garden seasons and am only 1/2 hour from wilderness, it is not all doom and gloom here or severe weatherI moved from north Idaho to avoid the hard winters and now enjoy life with all the other benefits Idaho gives...

another part of this problem is that you can flip burgers at a Mickey D,s and make 12 to 14 a hour when I was a kid you grew up pumping gas , then carrying lumber for a carpenter, then hammering nails framing , then signing on as a apprentice to a skilled blue collar job, in my case it was logging I was taught how to fall timber and told and shown how to do it without killing myself or someone else then I was told ok you are on your own you know all I can teach you go make a living , it was hard work, I loved every min.of it and still love the lifestyle today.....I was never a money monger but kids today grow up and never get a first job mom and dad pay for everything and they play baseball and soccer and there is no winners and loosers everyone is equal, well that is BS life is not that way....... life is a tough SOB get effin used to it , and don't burn a flag in front off me!

California peeps is this for real?
Magwa replied to beantown's topic in Firearm Industry News and Gossip
OK I have to ask does not this state have to abide by the U.S.Constitution? are there not groups in CA. that are fighting this $hit! I am stunned by the ignorance of these laws what in the hell is it they are trying to do they are part of the USA they need to vote out these commie bastards or MOVE I would be ballistic about this stuff Unbelievable.!!!! -
this is what you want http://www.advanced-armament.com/BRAKEOUT-2-51T-Compensator_p_650.html because you will want a can for that loud shooting Biach and this brake without a can will keep you on target and with considerable less recoil I know it is on my hunting LR308 and it freekin works!

follow up I now have 3 of these triggers and I am Happy with them all, no issues at all....
-
FOOD!, water purification of some sorta good tomahawk or similar a folding saw... para chord, a 10x10 rip stop nylon tarp weighs nothing but when it is raining or you need a wind break it is life saving....a multi tool,a good pot to boil water and cook food... a cup,a few good candles, save you flash light batteries...extra batteries and you better figure out how to make a fire in wet and snow conditions....
-
Bout freekin time!

I agree with 300 BO 223 brass is everywhere and it is brass easy to reload and 30 cal bullets are everywhere screw the ruskie stuff.... and besides I can shoot subs or sonic and it works with my Can, and yeah I already have one ......

It says right in my post it is a ACC brake out comp, you do not want a unthreaded barrel period!and I can watch em drop in the scope there is almost no recoil. No
-
I am another fan of DPMS lr308 here is mine over 2000 rounds never had any issue at all and I have killed 4 elk and 5 deer in 5 years with it..... works awesome as a hunting gun... I also run the AAC breakout along with a can when hunting from a stand or a stationary place I remove the can when stalking....

Yes some ammo is now hard to get but being the smart Injun I am I bought a lot during the years when it was less costly I will never run out of 22 and I have not bought any for 6 or 7 years did the same for other calibers now I am looking for bulk 300 BO then my life will be complete.... :)

I hand loaded for over 35 years and when I sold all my bolt guns and other custom single shots I sold all my reloading gear I did a lot of custom wildcats 6mm284, 7mm STW,I made STW cases from 300 H&H cases before they were available commercially, turned necks annealed necks turned primer pocked inside and out did it all for accuracy, and was good at it but as I got into the semi auto rifles I just decided to buy ammo and keep everything simple.....

Ok not sure of where right of flint and steel is so I will name all the stuff starting from left to right.... bowdrill,bow,2 fire boards spindle, anchor rock, chagga fungus(best fire tender in the world) a piece of rawhide to catch the coal from the fire board, two tinder bundles one of cedar, bark and one of shavings,a round tin to carry tender in. 3 hand drills 2 with fire boards, just to the right of them two fire pistons these are awesome and can ignite a lot of different tenders ,to their right is a replica of a Hudsons bay fire tin complete with Magnifying glass and the round piece in the tin is a cover for the glass. coming down from that is a round tin with a hole in it for making char cloth, and bottom right are 5 fire strikers and a couple pieces of flint
