WMD guns does Nickel Boron coating on parts. I think its $100 for your entire BCG (bolt, firing pin,etc) and hammer. nickel boron gives the about the same surface hardness as chrome, maybe even a little stronger, but doesn't alter the dimensions of the components and has less friction than chrome. Also is easier to clean after trip to the range.

They steal those for the platinum in them. The convertor was worth $75 a few years ago at the scrapyard but thats probably gone up by now. There is a 3 day wait period here to get the money for scrapping them to help cut down on theft.

As long as your book has moments that stress the importance of helping others or how much this type of research helps then it will have an effect of SOME people. Small as it may be, that could grow from other things they read. Even if it only inspires 1 person to be better, then its worth it! then they're go out and probably do good which might inspire another person and the cycle will continue. Plus, dont forget all the good you can do with the proceeds from the book. In the right person's hands, a little can do go a long ways!

The biggest irony about OWS is that they're are proving themselves wrong the more they do. Their members and movements are left wing, share the wealth, government will take care of us types. Instead of sitting back and letting FEMA do all the work in Sandy's wake like thier mantra would suggest, they organized their own relief efforts that were FAR more encompassing and effective than anything the Gov could EVER do! I'd say finish it. As long as its well written, you should be able to sell a lot of copies. Donate a % of royalties to fund medical research. Also, most "Christian" morals are actually Universal so even if you finish this book and it convinces people to live more by these principals then that will be helpful to everyone. Then write a 2nd book based around your belief changes, maybe that will open the eyes of others to your line of thinking too. Either way you will be doing good: A) helping further the science that helped you, B) possibly convince others to do the same, and C) inspire people to be better!

Gary Johnson is already pledging to run again in 2016. You can help the Libertarian Party gain ground by passing along information to people you know during these next 4 yrs. Which version of the BSHB do you have? I've still got my 10th Edition lying around somewhere, but the 11th edition was worthless by comparison. They cut out all the useful outdoor stuff.

I have an old one of those Gerber multi-tools that i got from my dad. Used it for years and it still is in good shape. I dont use it much anymore though, it doesnt have a blade lock so the knife part has almost closed on me before. I have the Gerber Demo multi that I used in the Marines as a Combat Engineer. Works really well and I have a spare of it. Might get a new regular multi someday, but the Demo has most of the stuff i would need/want anyways so there's no rush.

They are all the .223 mags, but it would be nice if they were the.308 ones.

I would say a homebrew MATEN b/c if anything does go wrong with it, I can scrounge parts from most of those other guns on the list to rebuild it. With all the things I'm trying to incorporate into my planned build, I'm pretty sure it will be as reliable if not more so than the others on the list.

I had my eye on Gary Johnson every since the beginning of the Rpublican Primaries. He had the political postitions that I liked without the stigma Ron Paul was given by the Media and Republican political machine. I might not agree with him 100%, but I agree with him over 90% which is far better than anyone else who was running. Unfortunately, he was forced out of the republican primaries so I am happy he went with the Libertarian Party. After the BS the republicans pulled on the Ron Paul supporters with the RNC, I am not likely to be supporting them again in the near future.

For me, I am choosing to go the 308 AR route based on my background. I Used the M16A4 while in the USMCR for 6 years. i liked the weapon design but found the .223 round lacking. I preferred when I would be designated to carry the M240B because it was an awesome gun and could do major damage from afar. I had been looking into building a custom M14 but it was very cost prohibitive to build a high quality rifle. Then I started looking into a basic DPMS 308 Classic, ran across this forum, and decided to try out building a 308AR of my own. I figured out I can build one of the same quality and purpose that i was looking for in the M14 build i was looking at for a good deal cheaper. Also, I'm already familiar with this weapons platform so I wont have to relearn much.

Does the DPMS one work on MATEN uppers? the MATEN upper only fits a MATEN lower so i'm curious if there's any issues with using this?

I've got plenty of time before the receiver set comes in so I'm just gonna hold off on the JP BCG and wait for .308 NiB ones to become available. I contacted several companies and they all said they should have them available by Dec or Jan. Like eveyone has said, its best to get what you really want the first time around. gives me time to shop around more and look for sales on parts i still will need.

Thanks for pointing that out. I'm gonna skip on the JP BCG. I've inquired to a few companies to see if they will be offering NiB coated BCGs in 308 soon, hopefully i hear back soon before i just go have one aftermarket coated.
