  1. Sized and trimmed 180 308 brass, and put 30 45 acp and 150 5.56 brass in The lemon juice bath, heated dry, then put them in the polisher. Next up, clean the 308 brass, then prime all of them.

  3. If I remember correctly, the SP2022 was ordered for the US Army’s Armor Command at one time. There was some thought they were actually being ordered for the Iraqi Army back then.
  4. Nice! Bet wallaby doesn’t “taste like chicken”! Might get some strange looks in the States if you said “ My Wife shot a redneck yesterday”.

Nice 98! A couple before after pics from wife's Bday party. Brisket is all gone!
  7. We are lucky if you live up here and don’t know how to drive in the snow your’e a statistic. After the stupidity of the first snow every one is pretty good.
  8. Suppressor + 22 LR = gator tail for dinner.
  9. Gotta say that shooting my Springfield M1A is really relaxing and enjoyable. I think it is a link to my fascination with them as a kid in the 1950’s. I like my AR10’s as well, but they have a totally different feel to them.
  10. I priced it. Holy Yikes!

Everybody else is gonna be here, why not. The wife keeps on adding, people she wants to invite. Two years ago we had a live band for her 60th and half the town showed up. I had smoked 6 pork shoulders for that party. By the time I got in the food line. There was enough left for one sandwich!?
  13. “GILFS” Older you get the more you will understand that acronym.
  14. Beautiful Survival! M14’s are just a nice looking rifle, and looks like you are starting, your build with the best! Will be watching this build with interest.

Birthday shindig for wife coming up. Planning smoked brisket, pork shoulder, and grilled jumbo hot wings. And a keg of nut brown ale. Gonna have smoker and two grills going. My kind of multi-tasking.
  16. Gonna be put on hold a little bit. I rounded up 30 more 45 brass, so I sized them today, will prime them tomorrow, add them to the 20 sized and primed cases I have ready, and load up my last 50 Hornady 230 gr JHP’s before I dive into the 308s. Also sized and trimmed 150 5.56 PMC brass. Will be loading those with Hornady 75 gr BTHP’s and 24 grains Reloader 15. Then I am out of brass except for 50 300 Blk. Will need to go shoot some more!
  17. Best way to find out is to contact Armalite customer service and ask them that question. They have to this point had a good record of what they previously manufactured. I don’t know if that is the case since their move. But try them and they should be able to tell you if they ever sold them separately.
  18. Finished a total batch of 280 45acp 230 grs Berrys hollow points. 5.2 gr N320. Would have been 300 but 20 bullets out of spec.. Next up 180 Sierra SMK 175 gr BTHP’s. .308 42 grains Varget. Once fired ZQ-1 cases.
  19. Guess I am with Mr. Mac. Always held “July 4th” As synonymous with “ Independance Day”. Both terms have come to mean the celebration of our countries founding to me.
  20. Nice work! Good machining is a true work of functional art.
  21. Agree. Corvette man myself. Gave serious thought to a new Grand Sport. Got a house instead, and keeping, the C5. I am thinking of an A and A supercharger. I have heard good reports on them for $4699. Moderate boost and reprogramming would give me 490-500 hp in a 3,300 pound car. The older Rams had a serious rust issue due to their welding techniques. I had one that the wheel wells rotted out. Supposedly they fixed that. My 2015 so far doesn’t have a spot of rust anywhere, including underneath. So we shall see. With that 390 hp Hemi, it isn’t as fast as the Vette, but it isn’t slow.
  22. If I can’t get 21 and 3/4”. I will go 22”. Or have it custom cut and threaded.
  23. Just applied for my Florida CCW to go with my Wisconsin and Utah ones.
  24. Here we use diesel deicer starting in January just as a precaution. Nothing like a fuel tank full of jelly to screw things up. Had a car delivered to me from California once when it was -28F. Wouldn’t start. Turned out it had straight 40 weight oil in it. Had an oil pan full of jelly! A big no no up here. We always use a 10 weight or 5 Weight blend.
