  1. All day rain with a high of 64 today. Too humid and damp to reload in the garage, don’t want it to affect the loads. Might do case prep instead.
  2. It was 48F last Sunday up here. Got up to 55F. Yesterday was typical. Got to 86 F by 1pm, wind switched to the NE, went to 68F. Wind stopped at 3 pm, went to 84F. Wind started again at 4:30pm, went to 70F. Live next to the world’s largest natural air conditioner. Middle Lake weather buoy water Temp is still only 42F. Kiwi, that wet cold is the worst. Goes right into your bones. Correction: -30F is worse, doesn’t happen often up here. Where I was ice fishing in Canada in March, they hit -42 F in January. No thanks.
  3. Dibs the bacon.
  4. Ah! The 60’s!
  5. +1
  6. Tiny in the next cell has you targeted for Saturday date night. He hates 11 round magazines.?
  7. Otters are just as tough and faster. Have a bite that can break bones.

    uncle Ted

Heard a recording of him on a Detroit radio station in the 70’s bragging how he urinated and defecated in his pants for a week prior to his selective service physical. He failed it. Don’t want that guy for President. We need more honor not less. Personally, wish Mattis would run for President, with McMaster as vice-president.
  9. ?? My mother in law lived on a lake in Minnesota next to a 4000 acre nature preserve, and the MDNR trapped a 106 pound beaver off that lake! To see that thing walk the shoreline was crazy! I sure as he ll didn’t want to mess with it!
  10. Useless, like sex drive. You can supress it but it comes back stronger than ever. Plus think; 1400 yards.
  11. I loaded the Berry’s with Vith N320, 5.2 grs. They recommend 850fps minimum, and Tight Group can’t reach that without higher pressures in a 45acp. Ran into a problem with the bullets. Some of them are out of spec by 3/100 of an inch, and were crushing the case lip even with generous use of the expander ball. So I had to cull through them with a micrometer. Not happy with Berry’s right now. Ruined five cases before I figured it-out. Doing 250 more cases today.
  12. 24 grs RL 15is my 5.56 load for 75gr Hornady BTHP’s. I went dyslexic there and reversed the numbers. ??
  13. Brain fart! No one caught me! I meant 42 grains RL 15 not 24!
  14. Loaded up 100 45 acp hollow points. 50 230 gr Hornadys with 4.2 gr Tight Group and 50 Barrys JHPmore on them later.
  15. Nice ! Is it a 45/70? Taken the train from North Vancouver to Whistler/ Blackcomb twice. My favorite skiing in North America. Almost bought a log home a1/4 mile from Whistler Village in 1985. $97,000 Canadian. Dumb move I did’nt. Worth over a million now! enjoy Gas Town, Stanley Park, Robson Street used to be fun. Looked rough last time I was there. Might take you up on that.

    MUGSHOT MONDAY

In the immortal words of Ted Cassidy (Lurch) in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid: “ Rules? In a knife fight?”
  17. I like Vancouver -for a city. Especially the Granville market. I imagine you have quite a few as well. Attached is a picture of George, may he rest in peace.
  18. More like Andre the runt.
  19. I like it!
  20. Speaking of, I was shooting at 185 yards today, and dialed in my go to load- 168 gr SMK pushed by 24 grains of RL15. After that I dug out some Mk319 Mod 0 OTM I had been hoarding and tried it. It shot 12 inches lower at 185 yards, and not nearly as tight a group. To be expected I suppose. Also didn’t feed real well.
  21. Was looking at a Norma 6.5 x 284 today, but ammo would have been a pain in the neck.
  22. Yes I can and it shoots great with the iron sights. Sometimes I wonder why I have the scope, except I have 69 3/4 year old eyes.
  23. Only in Duluth......
  24. My wife’s nephew makes me look like a shrimp.
  25. About 2.5 inches over bore. Wish I could get it down, but I want to be able to use iron sights as well. This is with low mount scope rings on the Bassett Machine high mount picatinny rail. I think Larry is bigger, at least taller. I am only 6’1”. Hat size 7 3/4, 18 1/2” neck. 40 years of weight lifting, before I had to hang it up. Should have stuck to running, even though I hated it. Now tough to drop the pounds they just come back.
