?? We need to thank ourselves everyday for their sacrifice.

Welcome! Just listen to 98’s and Matt C’s advice they will take you out as far as you want to go. Saw a slogan: “What makes snipers so deadly is not the size of their gun, it’s that they have been able to weaponize Math” Need a T Shirt that says that.

What kind of lube are you using? If it is break free are.you really agitating the.can? Break free uses suspended teflon beads and needs.to be.agitated well to properly lubricate. Guessing Matt might be right.

Took out the black bulgarian and opened up a 30 year old spam can of Com Bloc 7.62x39. Had spam can accuracy at 50 meters. But had some fun with some mag dumps. No FTEs or FTFs. Just not precision accuracy. At least the Kimber 45 wss dead on at 25 meters

I have shot deer bear and elk. Usually go for a heart shot, occasionally a head shot if I am confident of the shot. Only time I needed a second shot was when my scope got knocked off from a collapsing tree stand. The buis got pretty chopped up as well. Had to track that deer for 3/4 of a mile, after the first shot went through both front legs but missed the organs. In retrospect I should have just called it a day after the accident. Not being confident in the sights any more, after the first shot, I got so close I could just point shoot. Shoot placement is always number one. Anything else is a distant second, including caliber. -

No the Russian Cosmonaut was giving me the finger, so I passed on it.

Good to hear from you Montana. Sorry for the tough year that life dealt you. Prayers for your Dad, and I hope Mother Nature treats you right this year. The drool on the screen happened when you started talking about a personal range out to 1800 meters. And I am guessing a bunch of other forum members are also drooling. Take care and check in when you can.

Just done with my phone. See it about three times a month, more in the summer. You can go to NASA’s “spot the station” enter your zip code, and it will send you emails when it is visible

I am a newbie when it comes to hog hunting. Plan to take it up in Florida next winter. They are a little underpopulated compared to Texas though, only 500,000 of them compared to 2 million in the Lone Star State. -
Thanks for sharing that, MLey. We have similar issues up here, and threats of lawsuits by parents if their kids are disciplined. Time to cull out the feel good administration types and realize a hard assed principal is there to protect everyone. Kick the troublemakers out and let them sink or swim in the workplace. And report them to the police as a security risk.

Brother! Another lure addict!

The thing with public schools is they can be great or awful, depending on the state, city, region or any number of things. The small northern Wisconsin school district where my kid went to school was not perfect, but did a good job of weeding out the trouble makers. Problem was they had troublemakers that were expelled from other schools come,in every year and it took a while to sort that out. A lot of school systems don’t have that luxury and support from the school board to do that. If you have problems in a community, they are going to be directly reflected in the problems of the school district.

Went, out today between 6 am and 10 am.Beautiful, lots of fish on the graph, but not one bite.

“Stinking kids pushed enter before I was done” My Shih Tzu does that! Other then that you pretty well covered them.

If you check back in the archives a few months there was a fellow on the forum that collected original AR10’s and was very knowledgeable about them. I will see if I can find the thread and post a link. I would PM him and hope he answers.

The point is simple; On this forum, There are people who know the 308AR world backwards and forwards( I am not one of them). They can help with tough questions from forum members, and have extensively already over the years. What has developed is one of the best trouble shooting databases for 308ARs available. Easily accessible by the search button. These people don’t get paid to help. They answer the same questions over and over, they don’t have to if they choose not to. If you need to find out something you take the responsibility to look it up. If you can’t find the answer, THEN ask the question. As far as intros, there is a lot of mutual respect and trust on this forum, as people have gotten to know one another, but it is earned not just given. An introduction is a start to getting that.

Couldn’t agree more. In retrospect I wish I had chosen a different career, though 95 % of mine was spent with life saving drugs, and mostly before the profit gouging went through the roof. I remember when we had an antibiotic that was $7.75 a dose and people thought it was highway robbery. Ritalin and Adderall and the way they are misused are a national shame. The Oppoids and their marketing another national shame. I would like to see all of the above perpetuators trails of so called “legal” prescription drugs.

Good place to start. AR10’s is Armalite nomenclature, everything else is 308AR.
-
Is it an Armalite? Using JP Enterprises parts guessing it might actually be a DPMS pattern. Also listing components, sounds like a build, so probably not Armalite. Buy some factory ammo to make sure it is not an issue with the reloads. Were those reloads brass reformed with small base dies? If they were shot in another 308 and just neck sized, that could be your problem right there. With 308ARs small base dies are almost mandatory.
