  1. Couldn’t agree more. In retrospect I wish I had chosen a different career, though 95 % of mine was spent with life saving drugs, and mostly before the profit gouging went through the roof. I remember when we had an antibiotic that was $7.75 a dose and people thought it was highway robbery. Ritalin and Adderall and the way they are misused are a national shame. The Oppoids and their marketing another national shame. I would like to see all of the above perpetuators trails of so called “legal” prescription drugs.
  2. Good place to start. AR10’s is Armalite nomenclature, everything else is 308AR.
  3. Is it an Armalite? Using JP Enterprises parts guessing it might actually be a DPMS pattern. Also listing components, sounds like a build, so probably not Armalite. Buy some factory ammo to make sure it is not an issue with the reloads. Were those reloads brass reformed with small base dies? If they were shot in another 308 and just neck sized, that could be your problem right there. With 308ARs small base dies are almost mandatory.
  4. My advice: Be straight forward and specific with your questions regarding firearm issues. Check the archives for recommendations, the questions you are going to ask have probably been asked before. It is more work then asking the same questions that have been asked of our more knowledgeable members dozens of times, but you will find the best trove of 308AR information to be found on the Web. With good reason, they get tired of answering the same questions over and over.

    Grilling

Just minced garlic olive oil and Penzeys lamb spices. Rub and refrigerate 6 hours. Heat grill to 425. Offset heat until internal 145F. Let rest 3 minutes slice and enjoy.
  6. Welcome from up way north, like that Coulee country down there.

    Grilling

Snow in Dallas in May!!!! Wait a minute, just checked weather.com, it’s 89F in Dallas. Doing rack of lamb on the grill tonight.
  8. How about just a rough Menage a Trois?
  9. We have changed so much as a society over the last 50 years, and not necessairily for the better. Disenfranchised kids are willing to sacrifice their life and or their future for 15 minutes of “ look at me, I am famous”. Guess they see no future. No easy answers, that’s for sure.
  10. I am sorry for you and your family, and every one affected there.
  11. The Right has control of both Houses and the Presidency, and just set a record for deficit spending in this budget. Republicans are as big a sinners as the Democrats in this regard, if not worse. So much money is leaked off in corruption and pet programs by both right and left, can't point your finger at one side or the other. They are both corrupt as schit. The only thing I trust both sides to do is lie and steal my money
  12. still a valid idea. Gun owners need to take the lead in solving this problem that has cropped up in our society.
  13. what liberals forget about is hunters and gun owners provide a large part of the funds for conservation in the United States. Even this NPR reporter realizes that.
  14. I always text back, seeing that they are usually cell phones. “ I passed your number along to the Inspector General of the Internal Revenue Service, have a nice day” . Never get a second call.
  15. And bears are Catholic
  16. Found this in a liberal rag, gotta like her choice of rifle! http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/388061-pro-gun-kent-state-grad-brings-rifle-to-campus-tells-officials
  17. My Dad, a WWII vet, would have turned 100 last August.

    Grilling

Sketch, I am going to try that next time I don’t have a lot of time. To be honest, I am using my tower smoker less and less. For the smaller amounts I smoke and cook now, my Akorn with the ceramic diffuser does a very nice job. Wood up here is so cheap and easy to get, I can’t justify a pellet grill. If I was in a metro area, I would have one tomorrow, though. Heck, I just cut up some maple tops that came down this winter, and I will be using them to smoke all summer!
  19. This has got me interested.......
  20. I was reading the Appleseed web site, and they recommended the Techs so that was good enough for me. Easy to install and a great sight picture, exactly the same one I have on my M1A. I got the 200 model, a single aperture, but adjustable for windage and elevation at the back sight. And elevation on the front as well.
  21. The 20 and 21st of October is early enough I have a chance to do it. I will be driving Wisconsin to Arizona and back one week and Wisconsin to Florida a week later, but I am going to try to make it work. Gotta use up all that ammo I loaded for last year. I will try to combine it with a visit to my nephew in Phoenix I haven’t seen in 20 years.
  22. Just installed a set of tech front and peep sights on my old 10/22 dating to 1977. Took it up and dialed in the sights in three minutes! I like them so much I am going to take the scope off my stainless 10/22 with the Mannlicher stock and put tech sights on it as well! Couldn’t stop shooting it today it was so much fun.after 200 rounds my fingers finally got sore from loading magazines. Was getting my old one ready to pass on to my son, who prefers iron sights. (Has young eyes). http://www.tech-sights.com/ruger-products/
  23. ^^^^^^^^+1
  24. Wow! I did not realize it has been cut that much. I shoot maybe 500 rounds of 45 ACP a year, and consider that barely enough to keep myself proficient at a civilian level with my 1911’s and my FNX 45. I want to increase that this year to 1,000 rounds via reloading and hunting for ammo deals. Cuts have gone too far, period.
