  1. Excellent! Nice write up.
  2. It would make sense to have a limited number for special issue in areas Where combat can be at longer distances, like parts of Afghanistan. Face it, a lot of work will have to go into making M4's effective at 500 yards.
  3. Welcome from Wisconsin
  4. Save yourself some money and stick with PRimary Arms for your optics. Excellent quality. 98 recommended them to me and I am glad he did. You could spend a lot more money somewhere else and not get any better.
  5. So does Bill.
  6. If you like that I will give you a deal on a pink Ghillie suit to go with it. Probably not their smartest marketing ploy. Now they gotta close em out at $99. I ordered black.
  7. I had a SP2022 in 40 S & W or also 357 Sig if I wanted to buy an extra barrel. It was okay, pretty accurate, but had a plastic gun trigger which I didn't like. After I got my FNX 45 I traded it in on a Taurus 44 mag, which in turn was traded in on a Kimber Ultra Carry II. I never really got attached to the SP 2022 and holsters except for Fobus kydex ones are hard to find. I think my LGS guy still has mine for sale on Gunbroker. It did have nice tritium night sights. Between the SP2022 and the 320 it boils down to if you want an exposed hammer or not. I like an exposed hammer some people don't. Didn't Hemi win a SP2022 in a drawing a couple of years ago?
  8. Luth MBA-1 Rifle stock, https://www.luth-ar.com/product/mba-1/
  9. I will have to check out the ACE stocks. I have always used the standard stock for repeatability as far as cheek weld with all my AR's. I am a big fan of muscle memory. My 15's and 10's all have the standard stock.. If I replace one, I will probably replace all of them with the same one for that reason. Leaning towards the Luth, but I like the way that ACE looks.
  10. 18 pounds as off this morning.
  11. For that you get the short end of the stick, so to speak.
  12. Good to hear and nice that you PSA 10 guys are contributing. I should have said "refinements" rather than "fixes".
  13. confused, Congrats on a well thought out rifle. Doesn't sound like your forum name really fits. As far as the PSA 10 guys, bfoosh is doing some good work on solving the PSA's Gen 2 issues. They are going to need a Gen 3. If I was PSA, I would talk to him.
  14. Well food intake, or restricting it is part of serious training. Time to save this thread from totally going south!
  15. You guys keep me laughing I will lose some more weight. Beaver, by the way, is high in good fat and low in carbs, and if prepared properly, tastes like chicken despite some claims that its fishy. Some gourmands like to remove the hair, others prefer it a la natural. Definitely a part of any well balanced diet. Serving suggestion: with Ben Wah eggs on the side, followed by a cigarette and a nap.
  16. Stepped on the scale three weeks ago. Holy crap! I have gained 25 pounds in six months! Made me sick to look at it. Inactivity post surgery, and I really enjoy cooking. A bad mix. A firefighter friend of mine has put on some pounds as well, so he and I have got a weight loss contest going. My goal is 70 pounds in the next 18 months. In three weeks I am down 15 pounds but haven't started serious PT yet. I have cut out all bread, potatos, and refined sugar and all processed food. Basically eating meat, leafy vegetables for carbs, fruit, mostly berries, and some beans. Pretty much a diabetic diet. Feel a lot better. Once I start to stabilize I will cut portions back and kick in the PT. Always open for suggestions.
  17. Good write up bfoosh. It looks like some remedial work is going to help the PSA 308 out. It will be interesting if it correlates with the experience of other PSA 308 owners.
  18. He paid his dues. Whatever his politics, and I happen to agree with his vote on healthcare, I respect him. Disagree with a lot, but he has my respect.
  19. Brother you were in your rights to put that clown on the floor. At least make sure the top dog at the range knows about it. If he is the top dog, heaven help us all.
  20. Interested in responses. I know of no one whom has used the PWS piston system, but if it is like their other products, it will be good. A year ago I would have said Armalite, but now, I truly don't know. Armalite is a different company since Raley left. It looks like the PWS is ready to be suppressed. How about we invoke The Rule? You buy the PWS and then do a full report!
  21. Use my cell phone GPS with Google earth when I am hunting along a State Park boundary. Useful.
  22. I dumped the bipod on my 16" AR10 T and it really helped the balance. It weighs in at 12 lbs even loaded. My AR10 rifle has a larger scope, a thinner but longer (20") barrel, and a bipod and weighs 12.9. Unless I want to spend time in the weight room and start running marathons, I don't want them any heavier.
