Good idea.

I was sizing some deprimed twice fired Remington 223 brass this morning when this happened after about 60. The rim bent and popped out of the shell holder. I rotated the die a bit to get some fresh shoulder, sprayed some lubricant in the die and tried to ease it out, and stripped again. Also the deprimer won't release after I unscrewed it. I have done 1500+ reloads off this die. And never had this happen in 40 years of reloading. I am guessing its time for a new set of small base dies.

Except you RRA owners lurk around,gun shows trying to get a deal on every old FN-Fal magazine you can find!

Herk308, what are you shooting now? Hopefully something that treats you better. PSA is really letting themselves in for a PR nightmare. They should man up for that reason if no other and fix the first gen issues.

The DPMS Oracle 308 AR is a good place to start. Not AR10- a 308AR. To get an AR10 you go to Armalite.

Congrats Odie, that is good shooting for a new rifle. Glad it worked out for you. PSA is evidently learning from past mistakes. Herk, raise some hell with PSA and see if they will make it right.

Count; do you mean your own reloads, or remanufactured purchased ammo? Both work but you get what you pay for in remanufactured ammo. Sometimes you get burned. It is user beware. As far as reloading yourself, there is a whole section of the forum I suggest you review. Semi Autos have their own set of criteria for reliable functioning and performance. Might want to go over to introductions and introduce yourself as well.

Everytime I watch that video I laugh just as hard. As the first time I saw it. SRanger, that is a fine rifle just the way it is. If you want to ad something like a good optic, or red dot, I suggest reading the many threads under "Optics" That will give you a pretty substantial common sense knowledge base. Rifles, like cars and women, are compromises and trade offs. A rifle built for 1000 yard shots isn't going to be handy in CQB. Unless you are going to spend all your time shooting past 400 yards, I would suggest a 1-6 or 1-8 power scope with a lighted reticle. On 1 power it can double as a red dot type for fast target acquisition, yet still give you effective magnification for distance. Everything else you put on it is bells and whistles,mwhich may be useful, and fun, but won't really be necessary. The most important thing to do is to buy ammo enough that you can shoot your rifle until it is second nature to you.
