I have shot a Colt AR15 National Match HBAR since 1993. Not once in over 3,000 rounds have I even had a jam. Now Colt might have declined since then, I couldn't say, but based on my experience with that rifle, I would have to see considerable proof that they have problems, before I would bad mouth them. LWRC I believe just got a big contract to supply 6.8 mm AR' type weapons to Saudi Arabia. It is the biggest foreign contract of its kind ever. That makes them very attractive to buy out. Also, this might be the start of a type standardization of a piston system in AR type rifles. If Colt adopts LWRC's system in widespread usage, It may eventually become an industry standard. Then you could build piston type AR's like you build DI AR's, mix and match.

Like every Febuary, about the 15 of the month, the Eagles who have a nest about 200 feet from our house start breaking off branches and fixing up their nest for mating season. You will be outside and hear CRACK! And an eagle flies over your head with a six foot tree branch! Tried to get a picture today, but their vision is just too good. They see me from literally a mile away and circle around.

Superior where I live has strong currents. Shepp everything you and Sharkey said are true in spades. My friend was an experienced guide and just made a mistake one day that was compounded by other small mistakes. And yes, that is a Laker.
