yeah, for 308 specific LPKs I've only seen that style screw like shibiwan posted. basically what your picture is of in the end is just that same thing as shibiwan posted, but in 2 pieces :)

that does not look like a 308 bolt catch pin setup to me. where was that LPK from?

what you have to think is that there is a curve for everything. So at a certain level, getting 10% better performance might only cost you 10% more, but you rapidly reach a spot where to get another 10% more it costs you 200% more.

I would have started the paypal dispute Jan 1. You can't be too patient as paypal has a limit as to how long you have to file a complaint

It works with forward assist, but that functions differently in a 308 than in a 5.56, so there aren't the serration cuts in the side of the BCG normally. If you look around on the web, the vast majority don't have those cuts, but are fully compatible with a forward assist upper, and the forward assist still functions as normal.

bumping again. No need for uzi + sten parts anymore, just cash to cover vet bills. So far I'm up to $2400 in vet bills over the last 3 months, and the one dog hasn't even reached diagnosis yet :P he has a heart murmur, so they wanted to do ekg, heart xrays and ultrasound, etc before anesthetizing him to figure out whats wrong and maybe take a biopsy.

I use fireclean plus hopes #9. Its not exactly the same color as it was the first day (a little darker) but it hasn't changed much. Then again, I shot 400 rounds of crappy 40+ year old surplus ammo through it too

In my opinion accuracy is probably 60% barrel, 30% ammo and 10% other. So you could probably build a bottom end cost LR308 for all other parts, and put a noveske or criterion barrel on it and hit .5moa from bench rest or prone. Figure a low end upper/lower is $500, $200 for bottom end BCG, LPK+ cheap stock and lower completion $200, plain handguard and little junk another $100 and $600 on barrel could be pretty hot at $1600 or so. might not be the prettiest, might be finicky on magazines, etc but still should be ok. reliability might be a little different question, and for that you'd probably want a nicer upper/lower and more premium bolt carrier

the only time I leave a balance in paypal at all is when someone else sends me money. I have enough recurring payment things (Netflix, etc) that come out of my paypal account, so if someone sends me $100, it doesn't take that long for it to disappear
