I have to thank Josh for sighting in my 9mm AR , he really helped the gun. Took it out a couple weekends ago and it shoots 4inch groups per mag at 50 yards with reloads.

Now the next time Drew , Rene ,Ron & Matt need to come out to AZ for the next shoot ! Just bring your asses out West... you don't need the bring your rifles. Tom and I have you covered. BTW 10 of 10 308 members enjoy shooting Vera !

Rob, The roundnose lead will work...But,running lead in a gas operated gun may not be wise. If you have a bolt action then do it !

When you say very heavy , do you mean the diameter is over 1.2" ... because that is the diameter of a lot of barrel blanks. Also you can get the barrel re-profiled.

Found a place that sells Dura-Coat in every color in the rainbow in Mesa AZ. I will be checking it out in a few days.

Plus they make great targets... all by themselves !

QD billet uppers kick ass ! FA is not necessary , the ejection port door is used for dust and dirt protection on the BCG.

We do them with all PVC in AZ... We don't need to use wood for targets ! Save the wood for important things.

To change the caliber a little bit... 338 NM case is a little shorter but a larger projectile can fit in the same space as the 338LM. I've looking into making a semi auto version in the 338nm and have got all the little details almost figure out. Wait till yousee the upper next year. For a real badass gun check out the General Dynamics 338NM LWMMG , its 49" long and weighs 24 lbs shoots 500 rpm and is based off of the 240a. Its range is 1800 yards. And 4000 ft/lbs. With a 300gr projectile is badass!

Picked up some at the range, two weekends in a row... yeah I know that's not what you wanted to hear. But I did winan auction about six weeks ago on a 1000 peices of 40s&w. For just over $50 with shipping.

But the problem with this powder is it overpowers the gas system in the AR300WSM at any thing over a 94% load. Accuracy well...IDK... I can hit a steel plate at 350 yards but it is 12" by 12"every time, so that is not saying much.

I hate to be a ball buster ... BUT ... This is about four builds out. I have to finish the #24 Jeff Gordon upper and paint the gun we shot last Wednesday. Then !0mm ar , 300aac ar ,223 ar before I can do the 01 general Lee build . That gun is sweet ! It will be nice in the lr 308 format.

I was thinking of making a 308 pistol with an Everlast Boxing Glove Buttstock attachment ! I could let my freinds shoot it at the range and watch them knock them selfves out !

Back on topic, made a batch of 6.8spcII rounds with Hornady 110gr hp CCI 450 primers and 29.0 gr of Imr 8208xbr. This powder works well at almost full power. Coal between 2.270" and 2.280". You can just start to feel the powder crunch as it is seated.
