Yes, it's having somebody in the US export one that's the issue. FF rails are components of a semi-automatic firearm of caliber less than .50 so it requires a license to export (see below for restricted items, h): These are the lengthy requirements for getting an export license:

SLR, set screw. Set screws with a dimpled barrel are more secure than clamp ons. Avoid aluminum gas blocks. That's a horrible choice for a gas block!

If you want to go to a PRS-type stock check out the LMT DMR stock. It's essentially a PRS that's compatible with a mil-spec (DMR556) 6-position receiver extension or AR-10 (DMR308) receiver extension.

How so? My MWS from last year is just fine.

This. IIRC they are ITAR controlled. Hell, you can't even ship an Aimpoint back to Sweden (where the company is located) due to ITAR!

Both the upper and lower need to be the same pattern. They'll mate to each other, but not feed properly.

Some .308AR's had issues with them (Ruger, and some others), but they've worked flawlessly in my PWS and LMT. I've also heard of some 175gr loads not fitting, although I haven't experienced that with my mags and HSM M118LR Equivalent or 7.62x51mm FGMM.

Knight's does. I modified my MWS SS barrel to a rifle length 16" too.

Carriers are usually sized to the plate size they'll accept, with the standard being SAPI sizes. So if you order a "medium" carrier it means it's sized for medium SAPI plates. Carriers that deviate from this (such as those designed for swimmers cut only) will usually say so.

I don't doubt MechArmor has stand up people, but armor is one thing you want to be 100% sure about. Since they don't have any pedigree in the armor business it would really help consumer confidence to post as much data as they have. Unfortunately, the sparse details they have posted are very similar to how shady/corner cutting armor companies post their info. There have been plenty of great companies that have had defective armor products (anybody remember the DBT thin plate debacle?), so being very transparent is important.

Not going to lie, I'm kind of wary about this. They spend over 80% of the page talking about why not to buy AR500 armor instead of giving us information on their actual plates. Also, why does their dimensions chart say "Gamma Plate"? Those aren't the specs for TAP Gamma plates (which are good plates). Their product photo shows multiple cuts of armor, but there aren't any options for choosing the cut in the drop down menu. Also, only claims of testing to NIJ 06 standards (not NIJ certification) is a bit suspect, especially without posting the independent lab test data. As always beware the limitations of UHMWPE only plates, they don't stop SS109/M855/M855A1. As for me, I run a Mayflower APC w/ ESAPIs (and no they're not stolen US Gov't plates). I tried the TAG Banshee for a year, but didn't like how bulky the shoulders were and how the release buckles on the shoulders prevented me from shouldering my rifle.

Torqued the castle nut to 40 ft-lbs before staking? Gotta make sure this build is done PERFECTLY! :)

I'll be interested in your thoughts on the XH buffer. I run an H3 in mine and wonder if the XH will feel sluggish. BTW, due to PWS' EBT design you shouldn't need the anti-tilt version.

Hows the BCG extractor tension? My friend's cousin unfortunately bought a Blackthorne POS upper group last year that I fixed recently. Aside from the gas block not being aligned with the gas port, the weapon had an FTE more than 75% of the time. I took apart the BCG (really shitty machining and the cam track was too tight in some areas) and they had put an AR-15 extractor spring in there without an o-ring or insert. The tension was incredibly light. I replaced the extractor spring assembly and it fixed the FTE issue.

Is your range YSA? I seem to recall them having a loose strip of carpet you could use. Ain't thaaaat fancy.

Sorry guys, haven't had a whole lot of free time lately with work, class, and my dad's passing. I wanted to have a more controlled test so I drew up plans for a test fixture that takes most of the human out of the equation except for pulling the trigger and placing the rifle against your shoulder. I hope to be able to do it when there's a holiday weekend (where I hopefully don't have class) since the range is about 2hrs from me.

Looks slick! How well was everything assembled? I've heard some not-so-nice things about Core's quality this year (such as rifles shipped to PDs with the FCG springs installed wrong).

Solid company. They're active on other forums. I ordered one of their keymod handstops and it's well made. If I ever do an adjustable gas block build theirs is the one I'll use since it gets the highest praise.
