  1. They're all easy to install. I personally like the Vamfire MLD a bit more due to the larger diameter of the release button. You will want to use a dab of thread locker on it though.
  2. Bullet buttons can be removed with either a removal tool (<$10) or possibly flat head screwdriver depending on how far down the bullet button was screwed onto the mag catch.
  3. Did the wife insist on less comfortable couches so you'll be punished more when you have to sleep on them??? I went for a couple good bike rides this past Friday and Saturday, but unfortunately my wallet still got the better workout this weekend... LMT MWS TN Arms Co Hybrid Lower Receivers GG&G XDS-2 Bipod DD 16" LW Barrel CMT Chrome BCG Diamondhead BUIS PA Micro Dot ALG QMS triggers And more small parts...
  4. Let see those Black Friday hauls! I assume Rsquared's will be epic, no?
  5. Doh, I JUST order an LMT MWS...
  6. The IWC end plate is a great alternative when the Noveske isn't in stock. I have a few of them.
  7. Feeding issues due to the magazine holding the rounds too tightly and the curvature of the feed lips being too steep such that the end of the lips bites into the case of the round instead of cradling it. DPMS mags work for me, but they are known to develop problems more quickly than the high quality steel mags (LaRue, KAC).
  8. Happy Thanksgiving!
  9. Does it use AR-10 magazines? If so, I don't think the Mega will allow rounds to feed (but the receivers will fit).
  10. Pretty sure the material of the spring is what makes more of a difference than the flat wire in this case. Chrome-silicon springs in general last much much longer than stainless steel ones.
  11. MadDog Tactical? Can't say I've heard of them, or did you mean Metal Dog Tactical (haven't been there either haha)? If you're close, you're welcome to check out my MBUS set. I'm around the East Bay and sometimes San Jose on the weekends. The Diamondhead BUIS intrigue me, but I'm not willing to drop the coin on them. The geometry in their case makes sense for the ears to curve in on top.

    AMMO Sales

Can't you just get a PO box at a place across state lines and have it shipped there? All you New England states are itty bitty anyways :P.
  13. I personally don't like how the ears of the MBUS front sight curve inward.
  14. There are a bunch of guys shooting 175gr out to 1k yds with 16" barrels.
  15. Look into your lower, if the hammer spring leg is still seated in the notch on the trigger pin after your pin has walked a bit then you're fine.
  16. Why? That's a waste of money. Non-rotating pins are only semi-debatably useful on a full auto gun.
  17. AR-10/SR-25 pattern upper receiver cut. Tempting...
  18. It's "file is too large"-cam. Super high tech.
  19. So is this video going on the FB page? =P
  20. Core 15 isn't known for being a quality AR manufacturer so I wouldn't put much faith in them. I saw a documented case where they incorrectly put together AR-15s bought by a police department that had the FCG springs installed wrong.
  21. Gah, I must've missed it! All I see is "Notify me please" buttons :(.
  22. Looking for a MATEN lower. I'll buy the upper receiver and lower combo if I have to, but only need a lower before the year's end. Thanks!
  23. Positive, as Bubba pointed out, the forms you fill out for the DROS (dealer record of sale - aka CA background check) are not registration. The DROS is done one per transaction. A transaction can consist of multiple firearms. What it comes down to is the state knows you bought a firearm, but doesn't know the make, model, or serial number. This changes with registration where the make, model, and serial number are stored under your name in a database.
  24. This is incorrect. The only firearms you have to had registered in CA are pistols, and "assault weapons" owned prior to the ban. There is no "all semi-autos must be registered" law in effect currently. Case in point, if you move from out of state into CA you must register your pistols, but don't have to register your semi-auto rifles. Also if that was the law cash and carry C&R wouldn't exist as it does right now (and that's also going away next year). Jonas is correct that starting next year all new transfers of long guns will require registration.
