  1. $28 mags http://www.midwayusa.com/product/761181/ar-stoner-magazine-ar-15-450-bushmaster-5-round-stainless-steel-black they also have 9 rounders for like $35 some say they are using factory Sig 556 mags as well
  2. bolt barrel combo $299 they have a clearance deal combo for $239 as well ! http://www.tromix.com/450-bushmaster-parts.html
  3. I believe that round is proprietary to bushmaster isn't it? Bushmaster lists an upper on their site both a 16" and 20" for $700 https://secure.viewer.zmags.com/publication/c506ea39#/c506ea39/29 under accessories. Keep us posted with your build, and good luck! I want to build a 50 beowulf for myself after building the 10mm for the wife.
  4. Glad to hear it.
  5. Could possibly be getting caught against the squared off end of the ejector. I always chamfer and polish the tip. No need for it to be squared off like that.
  6. I dont think you can beat that above price! But if you are crafty and cheap you can do like I did lol. I made a dummy mag out of a slab of black polyethylene and it works fine. I also bolted a little "L" piece to the top so I can drop the hammer on it, and not my bolt catch. If you can get your hands on something similar you should be able to work it with a table saw.
  7. This has already been established. Given the popularity of the AR15 lapping tool I'm sure people would be interested in the 308 version. Squaring the mating face of the receiver in relation the the bolt carrier is certainly not going to hurt. An added benefit to some is the ability to take off just a little to help with torquing that barrel nut into the sweet spot. Now back to brother 82Halo's current problem.
  8. Maybe there is a market for "308" lapping tools,I haven't really seen any. Might just make a few...
  9. Your not gonna lap off that much material without screwing it up. The barrel itself is fully seated but nothing lines up? Any chance you can post a picture?
  10. What exactly are you trying trying to lap? and how much material are you trying to remove?
  11. Damn it I need to move. Every time I see a suppressor I want to machine one.
  12. $185 oops BACKORDERED http://aeroprecisionusa.com/m5-308-stripped-lower-receiver.html $229 in stock http://www.tacticalmachining.com/100-receivers/308-lower-receiver.html

Sweet. I used to have a Colt AR chambered in 39 it was fun to shoot and ate steel but only with the right mags.
  14. Finally got my hands on a chronograph thanks to Christmas! Took this 10mm rig to the range with the wife this morning to see where its at. I've been messing around with different powders trying to get it running nice and I tried both AA #2 and #7 but maxed out on both. Recently tried some power pistol powder and was finally able to put some numbers on it. I was getting an average of about 1400fps on a 180gr flat points over 8grains of power pistol. Now I can get an accurate assessment of my hand loads and start playing around a little more. I can't believe it took me this long to break down and get a chrono.
  15. You guys have me cracking up laughing.. I can thread a barrel but I would need to know what kind of profile this supressor would mate up with. I have prints of most types of suppressor thread profiles. If it's just a standard 5/8-24 thread that's a piece of cake. I believe most cans shoulder against a taper or a turned step, but I don't know squat about supressors other than I want one and can't have one.
  16. anytime brother.
  17. Moving right along. Won't be long before we see a target pic posted !
  18. I'm guessing your gonna pin and weld this barrel? Could we just machine a .100" 'washer' that would blend into the profile??
  19. Did you read the article under the pic? David Spade bought a 69 for $900k rare one of only 20
