  1. I haven't been on this site for some time. I stubbed on this post. I was about to buy some Prvi 168gr for about a buck or so more a box. Thanks for this post!
  2. I have a Heritage safe. It is made in the USA. That was my selling point.
  3. I am having flashbacks to the movie Micro Slut.
  4. That a-hole shot some kids in a school not to far from my house several years back. I remember the trial on the local news. I could not believe he had the balls to wear a shirt with killer on it. The poor parents of those kids. I dont know how they could handle that kind of mental torture. If I was one of the parents......Well I probably dont need to go into much detail. I will leave it to the imagination.
  5. Makes you wonder who took the picture.
  6. Such a bizarre story. His daughter says he is innocent, then changes her story to he raped her. Then agrees to go on Dr. Phil with the story. To much drama. Why the hell would she want to make this public?
  7. I got the Seekins mag button from Brownells.
  8. I went with the Armalite AR10A latch on my Aero lower. It worked great. I also used the Seekins mag button. I found it to be the best combination. The Seeikns button is longer then the standard. I highly suggest this combination. Also, I ordered mine from Armalite. the shipping was $15. Ouch. I purchased a Armalite bolt catch for AR10A but it did not work. I have a post on this site about this issue. Someone else on this site had the same problem.
  9. Which MI rail did you go with? I have the keymod 12", and it is sturdy. No problems on my end.
  10. I have an adjustable gas block. With gas all the way open it will sling spent shells forward. After I slowly regulate the gas, I have the shells going to the rear.
  11. Reminds me of Happy Gilmore and the huge guy with the nail in his head. Classic.
  12. I have never staked set screws on a gas block, but that is a good idea. I have used rocksett for several years now, and it is tough. I have tried to remove screws that I have rocksett and they will not come out.
  13. I was curious on this deal, but could not find it when I searched PA10 on PSA's web sight. I wonder if they took it off.
  14. JSE Surplus has Mega Maten on sale. with Rifle length keymod rail $703.80 http://www.jsesurplus.com/mkmmatenriflelengthkeymodset.aspx with Extended keymod rail $736.20 http://www.jsesurplus.com/MKMMATENExtendedRifleLengthKeyModSet.aspx
  15. I just got an email from Firearms for Sale.com. I have never ordered from them, but this looks like a great deal. DMPS 308 19 rnd mags for $12.99. http://www.firearmsforsale.com/product/0884451000716/magazines/dpms/dpms-ma3082-panther-long-range-308-winchester-19-rd-black-finish?utm_source=Firearms+For+Sale+Main&utm_campaign=52fbfbc1c7-Today_ONLY_Labor_Day_Sale&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_f371dd0246-52fbfbc1c7-74349597&goal=0_f371dd0246-52fbfbc1c7-74349597&mc_cid=52fbfbc1c7&mc_eid=19215b7aa4
  16. Geissele 2 Stage (G2S) Trigger is $109.95 at Aim Surplus with free shipping. I had to pay tax since I live in Ohio. The only downfall is this is a preorder.
  17. What barrel were you using? What twist rate? Nice groups.
  18. Looks sweet!
  19. I am not an expert on adjustable gas blocks by any means, but I think the down fall to one listed requires a set screw to lock the adjustment screw after gas is set. I think that was one of the big downfalls in adjustable gas blocks when they first came out. The SLR and some of the other more expensive adjustable gas blocks use a spring and bearing to lock the set screw in place with each adjustment. Another thing is some gas blocks will not allow you to fully close off the gas. I think it is the old saying you get what you pay for. I bought the clamp on style for the same facts that Survival Shop mentioned. I prefer equal clamping pressure. If you are concerned with the screws coming loose on the clamp on style you can use Rocksett. I put Rocksett on one of my DD clamp on gas blocks and I had to submerge it in boiling water to get it break free. I don't see it coming loose on you.
  20. I wish I took a picture. One side of the upper receiver had numerous deep tooling marks in it. Helen Keller could have spotted it. The first gun I looked at was probably handling marks from being on the show room floor, and it had the finish coming off several areas. The second MWS that he brought me was Anodized over the heavy tool marks. Like I said they were deep marks and several of them. Looked like marks from a dull routing bit. They only had two guns in stock, so I did not look any further. The sad thing is when I pointed it out to the clerk, he acted like no big deal. I said are you going to send that gun back, and he said no. I would think LMT would want to know about QC issues. They are ISO 9000. I was really interested in getting the MWS because I like my LMT AR15. Last fall these guns were still hard to find locally. I havent looked at one since. They seem to be more plentiful now. I was not going to take my chance in ordering one online after seeing two in person that looked rough.
  21. I went with the clamp on SLR. I believe it is the smallest, and lightest. It fits under most hand guards. Lifetime guarantee. Great customer service.
  22. Fulton sells bolts. Buy it from them and they will headspace.
  23. It sounds like LaRue is caught up with demand now. I looked at the LMT 308 last fall at my local gun store. The one on the shelf was beat up. I asked to see one in the box. The sales clerk brought me another gun and it was the worse machining that I have ever seen on an upper receiver. LMT should have been ashamed to put that POS in a box. I have a LMT AR15 that I purchased 5 years ago and I would not compare the two.
  24. T-Bird is a true patriot.
  25. Congrats! The grow up fast. My kid is four and has been asking me to go shooting lately. That was sooner than I thought.
