  3. Whar are you using a Smart Phone? I use a Dell desk top (Windows 10, a HP laptop (Windows 8.1) and a Kindle Fire HD (Silk browser) and so far it works ok for me, I book mark the Activity page and one click does my login. Maybe you need to delete all of your old cookies.
  4. Try this: once you get logged I to the page with the list of UNREAD checkfor your name at the top right and then bookmark that page then next time you need to log on go to that bookmark. You should go to the page... BTW. If you aren't already using another browser that is more user friendly than Explorer or Bing.

    Grilling

Question: Has any of you smoker grillier's ever used the marinading features of a Foodsaver vacuum machine? How it works is you put your meat, fish, poltry in the dish, cover with the marinade, connect the vacuum machine to the valve on the lid and push the Marinade button, Your FoodSaver® Vacuum Sealing System has a special Quick Marinate Cycle which will last about ten minutes. The FoodSaver® Quick Marinating Canister (not included) is the perfect FoodSaver® accessory for marinating foods. During the Marinate Cycle, the vacuum pump will “hold” the vacuum for several minutes then release the vacuum, allowing the food to “rest” for 30 seconds. This process then repeats. This “pulsing” action of “vacuuming and resting” will allow for quicker more flavorful marinating. FoodSaver Quick Marinator 2-1/4-Quart Square Canister, We just inherited a new Foodsaver machine when my wife's single brother died.
  12. I don't need that scary stuff, specially out in the boonies on a dark and scary night! No telling what it would scare up! I'd probably waste a whole magazine right then and there!
  13. Well How about that, , Backstop, Eh? . Never ever done heard about Backstop, I just used Loc-Tite on threads. I reckon I really am behind the times. where do you get it from? When I need to dissolve stubborn chemical adhesives I reach for the Just be careful and don't get it in your good eyeball or even your face, wear rubber gloves, a face shield or goggles when spraying it, It permanently fogged up a good pair of safety goggles for me. Crud in a Carb or throttle body isn't the only thing it will dissolve, melt, or remove, it contains Tolulene, acetone and some other powerful solvents.
  14. What do you reckon they did? Used some good Gorilla superglue on the flash holder?
  15. Welcome from Central Texas. Our rural area has a large population of wild swine (feral hogs) . They are very destructive to crops watermelons peanuts veggies. We tend to shoot AR and M 14 7.62x51NATO, .300 BO, .3006. Hog hunters use 4x4 vehicles Dogs to live capture and traps.to attempt control feral hog herds. A lot of the terrain is tough and brushes.
  16. You won't really know what kind of rifle you have (load, fire, extract, eject and chamber from a magazine, and hit the target) until you go to a range and shoot a hundred rounds or so and get the rifle broken in. But in the meantime we can have a lot of friendly gun talk! Auugh, what did you say?
  17. Sounds logical to me as long as it isn't Diet.
  18. When I was about 10 years old I fell into a prickley pear bed while hunting, from the middle of my back to the back of my knees.I had on a tee shirt and summer shorts. My brother and I picked the bigger stuff out and I went home, didn't sleep for 2 or 3 nights and my mom tweesered out needles and little fine ones, when they would surface. needles worked out of my back and legs for months. I won't allow cactus of any size type or shape on my property. When we moved to Midland Texas in 1985 there was a large cactus next to the front porch. My first day off I took a machatte and a shovel to it, roots and all went into heavy black trash bags and to the dumpster it went.. The neighbor guy said Boy Howdey! that Halliburton guy surely don't like Cacti, does he? Found out later he was from San Jose California and worked for OSHA. Are you sure that Pepsi works that way?
  19. No, No it will be coming to Comanche!
  20. Welcome to the AR308 forums from Central Texas! There is a gold mine full of information here about your LR 308. I was in the same boat as you. I am a M1 Garand and M1A shooter until I bought a new in the box DPMS Oracle LR308 in Dec 2015. I came here and after swabbing the site for information I feel comfortable with the platform and it is marked the same as yours .308 Win on mag well and 7.62x51mm on the 16.5 inch barrel. First I bought a Geissele 2 stage trigger but latter changed it out for a 3# single stage trigger from a site member special deal. and a Bushnell 4.5x18 BDC scope, still have the OE six position stock and handguard. Do a good cleaning job on the innards, chamber and bore, lube it up till the innards are sopping wet (except chamber and bore) It needs to be broke in wet with lube. I used Mobil One 10W30 Motor oil. I followed the break in dirrections in the DPMS manual with new Remington 140 grain .308 Win.ammo first 40 rounds and now I am shooting Federal Mk 319 7.62x51mm ammo. You got a super good deal, I have $1000 in mine now.
  21. I like them I have one on my mini 14 (M14 Mount isn't the best, you have to remove the rear sight). But the Bushnell .223 BDC 1.5 x 4.5 small tube is ok for the Mini 14. the 4.5x18 large tube Bushnell 4.5x18 .308 BDC is nice for some longer range shooting with the LR308. I boresight with a Bushnell .308 and also a .223 cartridge case chamber laser and also a Bushnell muzzle laser boresighter at 25 yards, then sight in with an 8" bullseye Birtchwood Casey paper target at 100 yards at the range. works out pretty well for me out to 400 yards using the Bullet Drop Compensator sight recticals.
  22. This is the Burris mount rings I used on my DPMS LR308 Burris 1" Xtreme Tactical Weaver-Style Rings Matte Extra-High The rings are good and sturdy and easy to attach and remove from the top rail
