^^^This and the Yeti is a 308 case cut down similar to what is done with a 223 case to make Blackout. Then what is left is necked down to 358. The resulting bullet fits in an AR15 mag and rifle. 358 Win is a 308 case necked up and run in a 308 AR mag and rifle.

01/07/2020 GONE! Everything is gone as of now. I will still be picking up as I can but right now everything is in limbo. A lot of people are using Match ammo to hunt with in the Grendel. That stuff is made to splat when it hits something hard (steel plate, shoulder bone?). The use of hunting bullets would probably eliminate a lot of those lost deer. Or getting over the 30-06 habit of blowing away both shoulders to drop a deer.

Obviously this doesn't literally apply to Tom as his answer would be NO. Why would he develop loads in northern WI when he lives in AZ? I am in the middle of a huge brass prep binge and I keep wondering if its worth it to attempt load development while we are in the grip of winter weather. I'm not totally nuts to attempt anything in super cold, but I'm wondering about 20-30+ degrees. For the Grendel I'll be using 8208 XBR but how temp insensitive is it going to be when shooting targets in summer at 70-90* ?

^^^This right here. Use a universal decapping die first to only punch out the old primer. The die body never touches the case. Wet tumbling with pins, Dawn dish soap, and citric acid powder cleans the entire shell casing, including the primer pocket to a spotless shine. Then start your resizing process whatever it is.

The magazines are here but not out of the packages yet. I hope to get at least one to the range this coming week for a test shoot.

Its not quite that good. Send to Magpul the magazines that don't work. They issue store credit. We order new 300 BLK magazines and they send them to us. For six 30 round .223 mags + $2 and change we are getting five 300BLK magazines back because of their price difference. Now we're waiting for them to arrive. Still not bad if it solves the problem.

I was thinking of doing exactly that. I eliminated the entire internal rib on two 30 round Pmags to run subs as long as I could in the mag. Both of them work just fine. I wonder how Magpul would feel about replacing the 6 Pmags my son bought to use with this blaster.

This is what I did and I think I found the problem. I loaded 5 rounds, fired two, leaving the third in the chamber, then verrrrry slowly dropped the magazine out of the lower and this is where I found the 2nd to last bullet. Not even IN the magazine, but sitting on top of the last bullet and the right side feed lip bridging them. This was with the 30 round Pmag, and it happened more than once. In a 5 round ASC metal mag and a 15 round C-Products metal mag, all 5 rounds fired perfectly with no sign of the 2nd to last bullet bridging out of the mag. My buddy the gun pusher (yes I have one too) loaned me a 30 round Lancer L5 300 BLK mag to try and it worked perfectly too. Apparently this thing is allergic to Pmags and prefers longer nosed bullets. Luckily I have 100 Barnes Tac-Tx bullets to load up to use for hunting and theres no need to use more than a 5 round mag in a hunting situation. Hopefully mystery solved.
