  1. I understand, as many of us do, that working your whole life and not getting to enjoy the retirement is unfortunate. I had and have a couple of shocks to the system myself, and I'm pulling for you to have a great time starting right now. You have an audience right here of concerned friends ready to help pass the time and talk some stuff. My blood work came in normal after 44 shots of radiation and it's Happy Time, really. I'm never going to be 19 again or drink until 5am and go to work at 6am. UGH, even the memories hurt, but fuggit I gotta dance with the shoes I'm wearing. Do you have any builds going on? It seems a bunch of folks do on this site. Just talking...
  2. Prayers sent RW.
  3. Welcome from Florida.
  4. Welcome from Florida, nice build.
  5. ^^^ Nice!
  6. I read a review and one of the folks stated it arrived in 6 months. Called Brad and asked about the time involved. It takes anywhere from 4-6 months. They didn't really want to say a definite time for some reason. In this case 4 months works to my advantage. If for some reason I get a " it's ready" call next week I'll be pretty upset. That isn't the time necessary to maneuver 34 hundred, for me anyhow.
  7. Happy Independence Year !!!
  8. Primary Arms 24 hr. 28.99 Anderson Lower limit 2. Good deal??? I ordered 2, damn the torpedos, full speed ahead.
  9. Please remove this thread. Item not for sale.
  10. oooommmm4x14oooommmmm3x18x50even betterer.
  11. Thanks for the rep booster. Just a head's up, I'll be removing this tomorrow morning, just because it bothers me to see it sit. I really did try to offer someone a break, a fifty dollar break. I'll put some other stuff up soon.
  12. wonder if they will offer a 4th of July sale, or do their optics, which are a terrific deal to begin with, always a steady price?
  13. I like the way he picked up those plates on the return.
  14. Ordered, 4-6 mos wait, no cash until later, doesn't count toward July 4th I'm thinking. I know my brothers here are agreeing, and what the Mrs. don't know cannot possibly ruffle her feathers. The street in French is the answer. I know we can keep this between us. DNP, that's funny. The actual laying out of money, an exchange, transference of funds, and/or payment due, will not happen until post 7/4/19. It is a commitment for sure, a promise to keep, a deal, but no transaction. What's that smell? Oh, it must be me. I'm bullshitting again aren't I ?
  15. 6.5 CM, ordered a 260 built. Going to build the 6.5CM, thanks folks.
  16. Eye opening thread. We should definitely have a belt thread. What kind of belt do you use to hold up the extra 10lbs. of necessities. I do like the med gear. It's worth it's weight in gold, nah it's worth it's weight in diamonds at times. You guys are talking me into a pocket Glock. My impressions from family are " Why do you carry that stuff?" They look on it as dangerous. My sense in viewing this thread is that you folks care more for people than they know. You don't run from fire, you don't run from accidents, and you don't stand around gawking. Most folks freeze up, in my experience anyhow. Thank you for being part of the " Lead Foot Society " ( that's Pb, lead, fishing sinker stuff ), can't and/or won't run.
  17. Oh yeah, there is a guy there.
  18. Unsolicited comment from the Mrs. " Just because you haven't spent any money this month," the words began even before I acknowledged her presence, "... doesn't mean that on July 5th you get to go out and spend thousands." To you unmarried folks that's 'wife speak' for hundreds. The reference to July 5th is a euphemism. What she really means is for all time, forever, eons, time immemorial, or until she needs, or wants me, to make believe I enjoy her mother's company. Then the deals show up. Right now I'm enjoying my position, I have another two weeks to go on the moratorium, I don't have any hidden agenda, and she wants me to spend the day poolside with Mom. O joy. No immediate leverage needed at all, I just get to build brownie points. I've decided on the 260 build. The first moratorium fast breaker will be the barrel. I've chosen the 22" barrel from Satern--Criterion--Wilson, whoever has the best 4th of July sale. Any suggestions or head's ups will be appreciated. An aero receiver set will follow and then I will gather all the newly found already in my possession that I didn't know I had stock.
  19. Gag proofing a canned chicken the easy way. XM42 Modular Flamethrower MSRP: $849.99
  20. Very cool. Gotta make this quick. The info shared here answering some problems is just mighty fine. Many times my eyes just gloss over after a paragraph or two reading elsewhere. These articles make me want to know more and I don't feel like an outsider trying to glean in on a major secret. Some secret squirrel explanations are obscure on purpose, I guess, and if not done on purpose, the entry is wasted on a new guy. Thanks.
  21. Well I guess I sorta see that. With enough hot sauce..
  22. JP has his opinion, and that referenced Recoil mag article has another. Hodnett believes the 260 is just warming up. In any event the subject is rich, viable, and lively. Just my cup of tea.
  23. That LaRue Rifle 22" looks very tempting. If I sell half of the stuff I have laying around I could buy two. I didn't even mention the guitars or equipment. There's another 10g's in that pile.
  24. God Bless Brother, I'm glad it is going well for you.
  25. Oct 2018 article, JP favors the 6.5 over the 260. Yep, same bcg. I like that Low Mass setup, interesting for sure.
