  1. This is exactly what I'm talking about. As far as the exact profile goes, I'm thinking I would want a bit of a shoulder machined where the A2 sight would be pinned and configured for a hangard end cap. Too bad Armalite offers no such critter.
  2. Thanks again. Although I've never seen the Colt version, I understand they used the rifle length (20") gas tube, however others have typically used the carbine length gas system and simply mounted the A2 gas block a certain distance back form the muzzle. Of course the A2 FSGB functioned as a sight only, which is what I'm looking in to doing. I've heard there were lots of problems with the rifle-length system so this has sort of become the "norm" for the dissipator.
  3. Thank you. What would be the proper gas port size? I considered doing one with a faux FSGB using a separate low profile gas block over the actual port.
  4. Anyone offering a 16" Dissipator barrel in .308 yet?
  5. Welcome from Gulf Coast Texas. Great forum. Enjoy your time here.
  6. Welcome to the forum. Enjoy your time here. Monitor closely your bank account ... it will quickly disappear
  7. I just ordered the 20" medium tapered barrel offered by Faxon. I'm pulling the 16" DPMS AP4 barrel off my Spikes and replacing it with the 20" barrel. Anxious to see how this will all work out. Been having a real hard time getting out to the range the past 1.5 yrs. but in a couple of months this will change.
  8. I'm sure Spike's sold enough of the forged sets to justify selling both the forged and billet sets. I've never regretted buying what I bought. I just never get any real range time.
  9. Thanks for the assistance. You did the best you could. Nice try. Next time we'll work this together and succeed. I logged on and request a notification when it's back in stock. As soon as it is received I will post it on here also.
  10. 16 minutes after ou posted this they are showing out of stock. Interesting indeed.
  11. Mine is forged also. JoeBob's advertises the billet set. Must be very, very new.
  12. Memo for reminder ... this latest post of mine IS for the billet set Spikes now offers.
  13. I know this site prefers new threads but I figured they would let this one slide considering the attempted resurrection not long ago. I hope this helps folks out. I would not be surprised to learn these are already sold out.
  14. Finally ... here's a Spikes billet set now offered by Joe Bob's: http://www.joeboboutfitters.com/Tactical_308_Livewire_Billet_Receiver_Set_DPMS_S_p/sp-stsbx10.htm

  19. Just like AnointedOneCare ... they have to muck it up and then pass it so we can all read it then explain to them that drew it up how un-Constitutional and illegal it all is. Corrupt and paranoid damn communists, the lot of them.
