  1. I don't have any issues in measuring and loading IMR4064 using a Lyman generation 6 digital powder dispenser. Out of 100 rounds loaded over the weekend there were only 4 that were off by 1 grain and none were off more than 1 grain. I agree that it doesn't flow like 414 or 223, but it does perform where it counts. By the way, the 100 rounds I loaded over the weekend were 175 grain Nosler HPBTs that I got from Rocky Mountain Reloading a couple of years ago. I have shot 250 to 300 of the 500 I bought and they have been very consistent.
  2. The one in El Paso, only open for about a year, is only discounting shooting supplies by 10% to 15%, or about what everyone else charges. I was not impressed.
  3. I like a two stage trigger for hunting myself. This is why I put my first LaRue MBT on the .308, the second is going on the .338, and I put a G2S on the Grendel. Hunting in the kind of scrub we have in West Texas means getting ready to take a shot in the small clearings as the game moves through, so a very smooth second stage with a light pull works very well for me. YRMV.
  4. Howdy from the Texas side of the borders and thank you for your service.
  5. Here is another option. I have a couple of the 15" high profiles on a 308 and a 338 build and they seem to work just like the more expensive options. https://www.mentium-usa.com/collections/308-free-float-handguard/products/12-keymod-free-float-handguard-for-308-rifle

  7. Just so you understand what is pre-ordained!
  8. I told you the Pens wake up away from home. Too much Iron City beer when they are in the 'Burgh!

  10. Naw, the Pens wake up away from home.
  11. I still am, El Paso District!
  12. I'm thinking of wearing this to work next week. Defines my mood exactly!
  13. Tempting, and I do have an extra large frame lower laying around, but just don't know if I will have any use for 2 .338 Federals. The X-Caliber is an 18" 1:9 Twist 6 Groove stainless versus Wilson's 1:10 16" stainless, with the X-Caliber being a bit cheaper so I suppose I will just wait. Now I do have an extra small frame lower just lying around.....
  14. A rifle could be an antifa protest control unit!
  15. Perhaps he just sneaked across the border. We have a lot of that here.
  16. Just received my LaRue MBT and UTG scope (compact 4-16x44) and waiting on the MechArmor charging handle, and the RCBS die set for the .338. Still have a month to six week wait on the barrel if the 10-12 weeks X-Caliber said was accurate. The lower is now assembled and waiting but not very patiently.

  18. +1 I have two Lee turret presses set up, one for pistol calibers and one for rifle with individual turrets for each caliber. I use a mix of dies, RCBS, Hornady, Redding as well as Lee. I have a Lee single press that I use for trimming so that is the only individual die I change each time. This really saves time when I am doing several different calibers.
  19. If you lay that down on the ground here in really west Texas and look away, you may not find it again!
  20. Should be interesting. I'm using a Blitzkreig Tactical "thin" 80% lower with an Aero M5 upper. Milling is done and they fit together very solidly - no play at all. I'm going to try a Tubbs spring with a standard 308 buffer with a relatively heavy TacStar AMRS match stock (to balance the 18" barrel). I have everything now except the trigger and the barrel. Based on the last MBT I put in the trigger blade is wider than normal so I may need to tweak the opening after it gets here.
  21. Lucky you. My order was created at 9:46 AM and is still pending. At least they were still taking orders. In any case that trigger is for the .338 Federal build and I am still waiting on the barrel although I did get the pepper pot brake from X-Caliber.
  22. Well, she made out better than the ISIS "fighters" who were killed by boars. Sometimes you get the bacon and sometimes the bacon gets you!

  24. Looks like what is needed for the antifa protesters.
