  1. 338LM WTF over? Where have you been hiding that jewel at? So here I am looking at building, a medium frame DPMS LR upper, in 7mm-08. I feel so inadequate. lol
  2. And the sheeple call every thing from .223 to 7.62X39 if an AR15 is chambered in it. :confused Ahh the large frame thing then brings up a whole nuther can of worms. The large frame works for now unlit the M6 gets released. It's even being referenced as a large frame AR platform. We're talking 300 Win Mag large frame type platform. :EEK That's going to be a beast! 308AR does have a damn nice ring to it! :thumbs Excuse me while I go use a napkin and faap over 7mm-08AR upper parts. lol
  3. Thanks for the close up. I like that grip. It's a Mission First Tactical G27 grip. I found it at Midway. Thanks!!!
  4. I do the same on the forum shepp, we run the gamut of manufacturers on here. On the street it a whole nuther name. But which name lets everyone know what it is? Is there no common name? I have always been a big fan of belted magnums. And the 7mm mag is one of my favourites. (insert Elmer Keith fan) It's ballistics are great. Now a DPMS pattern 18" barrel in 7mm-08 is very interesting. It has great ballistics also. It's a 7mm tack driver. I only need accuracy out to 400 yards. Next on the list is the 300SAUM. or is it the 300 RAUM? :confused Any of those round are a cake walk out to 400.
  5. I know there's the AR10 pattern and the DPMS pattern. But what exactly would you consider the street name for this riffle? I've seen 308AR, AR308, and both patterns referred to as AR10. Then there is the SR25 and my favorite, LR308. And let's not forget the PA10 also. Then you have the different calibers of the AR10DPMSSR25PA10 rifle. Which brings the possibility of even more names. My next upper might be a 7mm-08. Does that make it a LR3087mm-08? lol So what does the collective say?
  6. Some of those links you guy have posted are loaded with gun porn! :drool
  7. Must feel awesome knowing you built it. Great build! What hand grip is that?
  8. Must post more pics. Nice looking rifle!
  9. Thanks unforgiven. I had my heart set on a Nikon scope. Then I bumped across the Bushnell and they sold me the display model. I couldn't say no to the price I got it for. I still have less than 8 Benjamin Franklin’s into the whole setup. :)
  10. Nice paint job carnivore! :thumbsup
  11. OK so it's not some 1000 dollar ACOG, but it will serve the purpose well. The reviews on it were real good and I couldn't beat the dang price. Bushnell 1.5-4.5 X 32 Dawn to Dusk. Darn clear glass for the money. And only 10.5 ounces to boot. I also picked up a Magpul Gen 3 20 round magazine. I swear it's half the weight of the stock magazine. The Magpul key mod Bi-pod post fits the stock Glacier guard perfect. And just a cheap sling until I purchase a Beachin sling. Next on my list is the trigger. I'm really liking the way it looks. :biggrin
  12. That's the nicest home built I have ever seen.
  13. Hemi nut may I start by saying, you're a lucky man! My wife doesn't mind my firearm hobby at all. It's when she buys ammo is when she hates it.. WTH she's in Walmart all the time. lol
  14. I LMAO at that one. #thumbsup
  15. A warm welcome from North Carolina!
  16. We like to spend our spare time on this. 1989 Henry O 170DC
  17. I bled out twice that night, completely flat lined. So actually it was fatal and twice to boot. As my Trauma Nurse says "I survived a double vehicular homicide.". I'm living proof that miracles do happen.
  18. I loved the damn stock mirrors. They were the first factory mirrors, I ever owned, that were actual useful. The were clear as a bell at ANY speed. I racked up 30K miles in one year on the 12. The bike and I were taken out 20 months ago. Tee boned by an idiot left hand turning cager. That story is a whole nuther thread!
  19. Yes 2003 ZX-12R. I raised the bars and lowered the pegs, and turned it into a mile burning sport touring rocket ship.
  20. A warm welcome from N.C..
