  1. I was a tank gunner for six years. My tinnitus is insane. It's a constant 50 decibel scream that never goes away. Any, and I mean any hints, that would help to stop this crap, would be much appreciated. Sleep issues is a whole nuther thread.
  2. It's been 6 years since I bought my DPMS LR-308. From it's stock setup, I've added Hogue grip and stock, Magpul magazines, Primary Arms 4-14x44 ACSS HUD DMR scope, UTG scope mount and UTG AR15 slim drop in hand guard and a Rise Armament RA-140 drop in trigger. It's turned out to be a great shooter. That scope and trigger make a great combination. How it looked in it's stock configuration. And how it looks today. Future upgrades include, muzzle brake and Car-10 buffer. Just don't know if I should use the standard or the XH heavy buffer. Hope you all are doing well, it's been way to long since I've been on here.
  3. This is a UTG AR15 Slim drop in handguard on my DPMS LR308. And it is SLIM! Does not rotate or wobble one bit. It's very solid. Oh, and hey guys, long time no see!
  4. 100 rounds of .40 and 40 rounds of IMI 7.62x51 I ain't rich by no means but this will allow me to sight in the new scope and spend some quality time with my HK P2000SK.
  5. KI4JCE throwing 73's back at you. Welcome to the forum.
  6. Blacktop Mojo day for me. Being I'm a Bourbon nut, this song hit the spot.
  7. Welcome to the addiction. You'll never look at an AR15 the same way. The "boom, boom" makes the "pew, pew" seem trivial, almost toy like. First time I shot mine, I was like, "Oh shite, now this is a rifle!".
  8. I'm now a truck driver. We get DOT inspections all the time. Which I have no issues with as they are just doing their job as I am mine. I always hand the Trooper my Drivers License and Permit to carry first and foremost. I get the same question all the time. "Do you have it with you?" "Yes Sir it's in my EDC bag." They always come back with the same thing. "Good for you, cause it won't do you any good leaving it at home.". I honestly think truck drivers would be some of the first people to help a LEO in need, I know I would.
  9. We are too. At least the rain stopped. No way it'll dry out enough to work tomorrow.
  10. I thought the same thing, (loved my 1911) that was until I got my HK45. I've never looked back.
  11. If you still have it, I'll take it.
  12. Actually drove a M-48 at Ft. Knox. M-60A1 - M60A3's. M551 Sheridans when I was in the Calvary. Germany was all M60s and we did start the training to transition to the M1. I left Germany at the beginning of 82. Yeah, I'm what they call a dinosaur tanker.
  13. One of the guys I was on tanks with in Germany, was as anti Army as you could get. Even had FTA under the brim of his hat in Germany. The crazy bastard got out and I lost track of him. 15 years later I found "Hoss" once again. The crazy bastard got out of the Army and reenlisted two weeks later, and was accepted to Ranger school! Retired as a Sargent First Class in the Rangers. Proceeded to work at Ft. Bragg as a civilian. We lost him 4 years ago to cancer. Hoss, if you can read this upstairs, I miss ya bro!
  14. Thanks! It does fill the top of the receiver out quite nicely.
  15. Thanks Sketch. I can thank a certain desert rat shooting 308 porn pusher. His original post on the ACSS reticle, and the scope, is what convinced me to buy it. I've never bought a piece of glass before sight unseen. It's a 4-16X44 ACSS HUD model and it's been a long time coming. And I couldn't be happier with it.
  16. To late for the what's in the mail, more like it's already mounted and installed. Showed up last week, new scope, mount and drop in hand guard. And the pig didn't lose or gain an ounce.
  17. The Malaysian surplus from SGAMMO is my favorite so far. It's great plinking or SHTF stock pile ammo for sure.
  18. Nice collection bud. Next on my list is a USP and a P30L.
  19. Wait, three gunman and only 2 people were shot out of 100? WTF is right, sounds more like a hit squad.
  20. No where near as many as blue109 Walther collection. But my H&Ks are multiplying. I picked up the HK45 last Sunday. It was an Armlist deal that was really an ad and not a scam. It's a safe queen with less than 200 rounds through it. And a price that was to good to be true. I pounced on it and so glad I did! The P2000SK in .40 Short and Wicked is my EDC pistol. And I'm with ya blue on the Euro mag release, I love it.
  21. Way to much hush hush about the shooter. Someone knew some thing. To fire a bump stock that well he had to have practiced his ass off. The question is where. And if he had an instructor, where is this person. So we pretty much had a nobody millionaire, with no known motive, who left no political affiliation behind at the scene, come out of no where and slaughters 60 people? This whole thing stinks to high heaven.
  22. Suck about the truck, just glad you're OK. That was a hard hit.
  23. Damn Doc you sure as heck threw a big ole chunk of bait out with that link. Sell the three lowers and it's a 300 dollar steal!
  24. Not one word on the Alabama shooting. Seriously, I didn't even know it had happened.
  25. And they took him alive.
