  1. Compared to the Shield SIS the MSE flippin HUGE. Actually, compared to any RDS I've ever seen it's flippin HUGE. But now I'm more interested in finding out what THE RULE is haha
  2. Hmmmm, I'm sure I'll find out what this rule is?
  3. Anyone have any experience with the MSE from Finish First Tactical? http://www.finishfirsttactical.com/optics/mse-red-dot-sight
  4. No sweat brother & you're welcome. If you need to change your mind later I'll keep the offer open as long as I have the $ in the bank.
  5. blue109, Brownell's 308 Forster no-go gauge is backordered at the moment but the Clymer go & no-go set is available for $58. Not seeing a set that includes the field gauge so I suppose you'd have to order that one separately & Brownell's has it listed for $28.99. At any rate, if you want send me your PayPal info & I'll shoot you the $ to buy a set.
  6. I tend to think that their characterization of his being "on his hands and knees" was in reality something more like "scrambling for a weapon he had stashed under the bed". Could be entirely wrong I know but I always give the LEO's the benefit of the doubt, at least until it is otherwise brought to light.
  7. The only change I am noticing (probably because I haven't been on the site very long) is with the banner bonanza at the top of the Browse/Forums/Home page. All but one of the 10 banners are shifted to the left side, leaving a huge white section on the right side. When going to view a topic on any other page, the banners are equally spaced with 5 on each side but when returning to the forums home page the banners go back to the 9+1 arrangement. Not a prob for me by any means, it's just a quirk that it only does it on the home page. Also, some of the links on the right side column need to be updated, as they link to products that are no longer available, such as AR-10 308AR Parts 308 PMAGS
  8. Yes, careful how you accessorize and even more so what you say online. Personally, if an officer were to ever point an AR of any type at me, I'm pretty sure I would get the message without needing to call a time-out to walk over and see what they have printed on their dust-cover ;)
  9. I was thinking "I bet it isn't about fixing Stoopid AutoScrewItUp" haha
  10. Yes sir. Hopefully it will help me improve confidence in my first shot accuracy.

    Manuals

Let's see if this one for the Win9422 will work. http://media.winchesterguns.com/pdf/om/model9422_manual_om_s.pdf
  12. Welcome from East Texas. I hope the retro build goes well!
  13. Interesting. I know way too little about the history of these things.
  14. It took me a while to get it but apparently the +TacOps-Sniper .308 part is the charging handle, so I guess I ordered a trigger & a charging-handle while thinking I was only ordering a trigger. No worries, it won't go to waste.
  15. Thanks for the info, survivalshop. I have seen this info and more, and is why I asked DPMS which gauges to use for this 7.62x51 stamped barrel. Their reply was to use the 7.62 not the 308. The gauge order was for a 7.62 gauge based on DPMS's input but I also intend to get a 308 set for 308 stamped barrels.
  16. Another headspace mention...ordered a 7.62x51 NATO headspace gauge from Brownell's. They sent a .308Win SAAMI spec gauge. Hmmmm
  17. Another Texas welcome, Hoff. Good to see ya around.
  18. The order process didn't say anything about a charging-handle but it did say something about the 308AR.com site.
  19. Y'all can tell Van you sold another RJ-3/0 Trigger + TacOps-Sniper .308 for him. Order placed a few minutes ago.

    Coyote

There are cattlemen around here that will pay you for each head, every head, heads all year long. Some I've seen some who hang them on fence-lines as warnings to other coyotes in the area.
  21. Glad you're ok, mrmackc! Us newbies need you to stick around to show us a thing or two.
  22. Site went to Fatal Error Gateway blah blah blah for a little while yesterday, Mar13/2016. Then it gave me the 'ol Site Maintenance, Try Again Later bit. Even tho it was a Sunday, someone got it up & running again in short order, mucho gracias. Just a little curious about what happened so dropped a post.
  23. Outstanding. I think every kid that shows an interest should have opportunities like this. Good show, DNP
  24. If you think it was a success then I'm glad it was too! And my wife & I don't allow pink guns in the house either haha
  25. Hey Halo, just fyi that Ballsitics Advantage barrel I recently picked up also has sharp edges on the feed ramps. Not like razors but if I pressed into them too hard they would cut a finger for sure.
