  1. Yeah Lane, I would have to agree with you. WEG kinda replaced a few parts at a time, which there is nothing wrong with, but makes it harder to really tell where the issue was if it was just one part. At least we have a general idea. I think the shape of the claw on the extractor looks suspect though. could be the photos, but it does look different from others. maybe the claw would work with a different spring or maybe the PSA spring would of worked with a different claw. Sounds like a job for someone with a lot more time on their hands. lol. Either way, great job WEG for seeing the details that allowed you to fix it. ?
  2. ok, thanks jtallen. I guess I will try and be patient, you guys know its hard when you are waiting on parts. lol.
  3. So I ordered a couple of items from Armalite 9 days ago. It still says it is processing. When and after I ordered them, it still said they were in stock. Anyone else seen Armalite taking their sweet time?
  4. them saying they will replace parts wont matter if they replace them with the same crappy parts. lol. I could see them possibly polishing the feed ramps for you, otherwise not much else they could do to make your parts better you had to replace.
  5. I've heard of people eating them before
  6. Nice, can't wait to see how mine will perform... just waiting on barrel
  7. well with the 3 main issues we are seeing with PSA's 308 platform, if all 3 issues plague a rifle, it will cost around $80-$100 to fix. Still a good deal for them, but more and more wondering if it is worth it.
  8. @98Z5V have we heard of this problem with PSA before?

    Grilling

    Damn boot, that looks delicious.
  10. All good, nice to see something happy for once. glad our brother is ok. I'm surprised possession of heroin is a misdemeanor, its a felony here, no matter what amount you have. And I would of tried to charge him with criminal negligence or something like that. One reason when searching people or vehicles, I always ask if there is anything that will harm me such as weapons or dangerous drugs. It sets it up for more charges. if we find weapons than it will be possession of a concealed weapon often times instead of something lesser. and in the case of dangerous drugs or needles, can often charge criminal recklessness or something else if something happens to an officer or occupant from those things.
  11. the question is, will it work for the particular handguard you are going to use. my patrol rifle has a front sight post and I used them in the military. I can accurately at 300 yards and beyond no problem. but my other rifles, the handguards don't allow a front sight post to fit, therefore I don't have one. and I would have buis on all my rifles, but that more money I don't have. lol.
  12. so how many of those are you going to buy?
  13. Yeah I know, but that's what happens when the people in charge of firearms for a department don't really know much about ballistics or equipment.
  14. We use 55 gr Speer LE Gold Dot Duty We use 55 gr Speer LE Gold Dot Duty ammo. a lighter bonded soft point than what 08sniper's department uses. I honestly think many departments go with soft points because they don't want over penetration in residential areas.
  15. Yup, that's the way it is for me. and I teach my kids, everything we kill we eat. only things I wont eat are skunks and possums that wont stay out of my trash. leave my trash alone or even just run away when caught in the act, and I wont shoot you.
  16. I have not eaten them, but I know people that do. However don't eat racoons that mainly eat trash, they don't taste good from what I hear. If you eat racoons that eat a natural diet, they supposedly taste a lot better.
  17. no worries, it has taken me 2 years to build the rifle I am currently waiting on the barrel for. lol. just do it piece by piece and take advantage of really good sales.
  18. one of my favorite things to eat
  19. I would bet the 8.6 creedmoor will go main stream first because of the creedmoor name, and again the backing of Hornady. main stream doesn't always mean better. the thing about the 300blk that I liked was it put the 223 case to the max for the best subsonic capabilities out of it and allowed you to use a very very common case for reloading. .375 raptor does the same thing but in a 308ar platform. you put that very common case maxed out for the best possible subsonic capability out of it. 6.5 creedmoor and 8.6 creedmoor have good case designs, but I like the idea of being able to use .308 family brass.
  20. Think I'd rather have a .375 raptor over a 8.6 creedmoor/.338 blackout http://www.375raptor.com/375RAPTOR/
  21. when I was in basic training, there was a soldier that ended his life at the range. not long after that is when the army started to get a lot softer in basic with "stress cards" and soldiers being able to have their cell phones at night and such.
  22. I'm not a big fan of the grip. How much for the Mod 2? I love the new grip style.
  23. Normal for around here maybe. lol.
  24. I laughed way to hard at the hobo joke
  25. One thing to think about, usually "defensive" ammo is not designed to penetrate far because in defensive situations, over penetration can be a problem. That's why a lot of defensive ammo even is designed to fragment so that it doesn't go through your walls and hit grandma two houses away. but generally defensive ammo is crap for penetrating barriers. but basically anything can go through car doors and windshield glass, which is designed to defend against wind and rocks. .22LR can go through those usually in most places. If you're serious about wanting as much penetration as possible, I think 98 has given you exactly what you are looking for.
