Storms last night. We have a few trees down. 75 deg and overcast with a flood warning. Where we are we won't get flooded but the roads in and out might be flooded in places. We can use the rain though.
Rockset is a thread locker that only comes off if you soak it in water.
If the gun runs with the carbine extension Magpul makes rifle stocks that work on carbine extensions.
If a milspec carbine extension works and holds the buffer retainer in I find it hard to believe the lower is out of spec.
I have bought parts from those people but never called them and ask for advice.
Take some measurements and post the pics of them.
Its all good. I do have tools, jacks, jackstands and have been known to swap motors in bikes and trucks. Had to drill frame rails to put the trailer hitch on the Renegade.
A lift and taller tires would be nice just not in the budget YET.
While I appreciate yall trying to help me spend money think I better wait till the budget is better. I am also in the process of getting a 40ft container for a shop and storage.
Dad won't say much about Korea except that the Marines took the hill . Then turned said hill to the Army. Then the Marines had to go back the next day and take the same hill again.
He was not a fan of the Army.
There are H3 buffers out there for sale BUT they will not work in a standard carbine buffer tube on your 308.
Armalite carbine buffer tube is 7 5/8" inside depth and H3 buffers work on a 308.
Heavy Buffers.com will build you a buffer heavy and short enough to work in your standard carbine buffer tube.
