  1. I have a laser bore sight but I'll just go shoot it this weekend. I will put the bore sight in and check before I waste ammo. I hope the barnes 220 gr will get there. This gun likes that load and I just bought another 100 rnds.
  2. OK. The EGW 50 moa scope base is installed. I dialed down 11.8 mils so I should be at least on the paper at 100 yds. I can still dial down another 1 mil. We shall see.
  3. In the bottom pic your scope mount is backwards. On further review looks like the other mount is backwards too.
  4. Welcome from Ky. Lube the BCG dripping wet to start.
  5. What twist is the barrel. 1/7" with 55gr that is good.
  6. Happy birthday Susan.
  7. So if I understand the numbers right I can go to a 50moa base and still have a 100 yd zero.
  8. I can go down 11.6 mils to the bottom.
  9. I have the same rifle and scope as jbMatt. The only difference is his rings have moa built in that mine doesn't. I am shooting different ammo. W/a BC of.611
  10. OK we have the same setup except rings. I'll order the 50moa scope base and still be a bit short dialing 2k.
  11. Question. My Arken is maxed out of elevation and still about 2.5 mils short at a mile. I was holding just over the top of the target. I have a 20moa scope base now. Will a 40moa scope base give me enough elevation or do I get them to make me a 50 moa base. EGW will make a 50 moa base and has 40 moa bases in stock.
  12. Brother in laws latest. Please check the log splitter it won't start. He doesn't know how the fuel valve got shut off. That one was easy to fix.
  13. I'm doing fine. It's 72deg in the house. Fire going in the fireplace. Just made a pot of chili.
  14. 6 deg w/c -8 pond frozen over.
  15. I've had Starlink for about 3 years now. Works for me. A mini might be nice.

    Nice
  17. 25 deg here with 30mph winds. This is the high of the day. Headed for single digits. Just a dusting of snow now.
  18. I like my 6 ARC but I have 3 6.5Grendels. The ARC shoots just a bit flatter. The Grendel has a lot more factory ammo available. If you handload it doesn't matter. Both do 1000 yds in a small frame.
  19. My psa runs and shoots. I wouldn't buy another unless it was really discounted. The only parts still from the factory are the receivers, and rifle recoil spring and buffer. Not that all those parts needed replaced I wanted to change things to suit me. I can build more and come close to the "bargin" price if I watch sales and don't get in a rush.
  20. https://www.budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/149350/ruger+sfar+7.62+.308+win.+rfl+16+inch+20rd. 20" same price
  21. The midlength AR15 gas tube is what they were/are using . The Armalite carbine gas tube is about 5/16" longer. The original tube extended in to the cam cutout. Just not to the middle or just past the middle of the cam cutout. My rifle had a front sight. Now just a gas block. I also installed a rail in place of the mid length plastic handguards. The rifle ran from the factory. I chose to change things around. The gas tube swap is the only thing that I really needed to do since I had a rifle recoil system.
  22. If you can find it the Armalite recoil system for carbines is about $80.00 The gas tube is about $20.00 Measuring the gas port is easy if you have numbered drill bits. Drilling out the gas port is also easy. My PA10 came w/a rifle recoil system and stock. So I didn't need to change that. My gas port was OK. Never measured it or drilled it because the gun ran. I did replace the gas tube w/the proper length tube.
  23. And it will need a proper length gas tube.
  24. Cool
  25. Common sense being used? Say it ain't so....
