  1. Happy it's working well now.
  2. One of the best things I've done is have my cataracts fixed.
  3. 2 shots 2 deer. The freezer will have meat in it this winter.
  4. ^^^^^^^^ That's it!!
  5. nope. Buffer isn't heavy enough. If you add a heavy buffer (Kak or Heavy Buffers) and a Springco Orange spring to a AR 15 buffer tube it will be OK. The Armalite Carbine parts are not available online anywhere I can find. I could be wrong but a Voltor buffer tube, H3 buffer and a Springco red spring. Is an acceptable solution I belive. Armalite carbine buffer tube is 7 5/8"
  6. It works best when the uppers and lowers are from the same manufacturer. That way they actually fit each other. Your buffer needs to be in the 5 1/2 oz range. The rifle buffers are that weight. The carbine buffer not so much unless you hunt for them. Many places try and use AR15 buffers.
  7. Welcome from Ky
  8. I have a braced Roni and switch between a G19 and a G17. Red dot on it. Rails on the side for a light. Folds and fits in a bag just fine. The new Keltec sub2k's rotate the red dot out of the way for folding.
  9. Nice
  10. I shoot more deer off this hay field than anywhere else on the farm.
  11. The new stand is up. This was on sale in April for $129.00. Finally put it together. The view from the stand.
  12. Light frost last 2 mornings. 1 more day of that then back to highs of 70 and lows in the upper 40s. I can turn the furnace back off.
  13. Nice
  14. Both of them look good.
  15. https://kakindustry.com/lr-308-bolt-carrier-group-ejector This is what I put in my Creedmoor bolt.
  16. Your buffer is too light. But you already figured that out. Just change 1 thing as a time. The 140gr Hornady American Gunner runs great in both my Creedmoors. It also groups well. Davidson doesn't have the best reputation for quality parts. I would wait on changing the gas block till you try the heavier buffer and spring.
  17. Nope
  18. That monster met a bigger monster called Grendel.
  19. This one won't be eating any more of our fish. ruler is 5" long. Turtle soup tomorrow.
  20. Had the dogs going nuts the other night. I could tell by their bark they had something cornered. They had an opossum cornered on the eve of the old garage. It showed up on the thermal scope just fine. 5.56 was a little overkill but the dogs shut up after I shot the opossum. The youngest Great Pyrenees was jumping almost high enough to reach the varmint.
  21. ar15 & ar10 gas tubes are not the same. Different bend to miss the barrel nut and different length. Wilson Combat even has their own "midlength". Nothing is a standard length or pattern on the large frame guns. Originally on my PSA 308 midlength gas tube 18" barrel I istalled the Magpul midlength handguard. the handguard fit fine.
  22. Glad it missed ya.
  23. How stupid can they get. Tell them your a tree surgeon and it's a medical procedure.
  24. once the gas block is installed and the handguards are installed I bet it doesn't flop around. Test fit everything and see how it fits.
