    Sounds like you got it figured out. I like the one I have. I didn't need an adjustable gas block. Worked just fine as it came.

    Leupold 1.5x4 fire dot. I have one on the Grendel. Mil dot reticle with the center of the cross hairs lit as a dot. Dot goes off with no movement. Pick it up and the dot comes on. The scope is also available without a dot.

    I have a balastic advantage 16" midlength gas barrel on a rifle. Shoots good and runs like a top. 3/4 moa w/match ammo. I think primary arms has this barrel for $209 right now.

    Looks good. My 1st one took a while to get the gas adjusted correctly. It runs good now but took about 150 rnds to get to that point. Think I have the second one about adjusted right. 1failure to eject in the last 40 rnds.

    What does the brass look like after you get it out of the chamber? A lot of folks have problems w/the JP recoil set up. Was the bolt properly headspaced?

    If you use the armalite recoil system the gun will run providing the gas port is the right size. I have built 2 308 pistols using the armalite parts and all I had to do was get the proper amount of gas to the recoil system for them to run well. Takes the guess work out of the equation.
