  1. Good thinkin
  2. Much better pictures. Yep I looked at it wrong. Feed ramps are where they belong.
  3. Balistic Advantage 16" barrel 1/10 twist. Standard midlength gas tube for an AR15. Bought the rail at the local gun shop. Saw rails just like this at justrails.com I think that's where he gets them but I prefer to buy local when I can.
  4. The retaining pin that holds the muzzle break on one of my AK's was stuck in the down position. I used break free and let it soak 2 hours. Then I used a punch on it. Came loose about the 3rd whack with a small hammer.
  5. Cool. Have a good time with the new rifle.
  6. Looking at the photo a little closer. The feed ramps look like they are 90deg out of where they belong. They are at 9oclock not 6 o'clock unless I am seeing the photo incorrectly.
  7. Soft points don't feed well on this platform.
  8. If you load just 1 round of the problem ammo does it lock back on an empty magazine? If it doesn't open the gas block up a bit. Might be undergassed with that load.

  13. And that thread was 5 years old.
  14. Ok it is taking the place of the charging handle in the rear of the receiver. It needs to be removed to pull the bolt carrier out of the upper. Yes a little bit of gas comes out the back that's why there is a "Gas Buster" charging handle. I would find a plug the proper diameter and threads that takes a torx bit so I could screw it in flush. Locktite it in but removable with a torx bit. Or grind off what you need to get it to close. But a plug flush with the rear would be cleaner looking.
  15. Please post pics of what you are talking about. This doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

  18. South and east of LaGrange. About 20-30 minutes. About 15 miles NW of Frankfort.
  19. Dion, Mine showed up today. Thanks!
  20. Lube it up good and shoot it. My 2 pistols I built were like that for about 50 rounds. All good now.
  21. Just bought 60 rnds of those to see if 1 or more of my guns like that load.
  22. If it is a good price why not? DPMS made decent guns in MN.
