    Armalite carbine 308 gas tube should be a fix. White oak armament makes custom length gas tubes. Pull that one and measure it. Also your buffer with the 7" buffer tube should be 2.5" and weigh about 5.6 oz. But fix 1 thing at a time.

    Your gas tube is way to short. It should come to the middle of the cam pin cutout.

    Milwaukee and DeWalt here on the farm. Replacing the older DeWalt w/the Milwaukee as there wear out.

    If the problem keeps happening replace the trigger with the old one. If that clears it up it's the new trigger group.

    Take the bolts out and pull the nut out of the forend. Probably has flats on the nut for a normal wrench. It will hold the barrel on.

    The big problem is with all these people buying guns, they won't buy many more for a long time. The distributors run out of guns then they lay off sales people. The rush over Obama put one of the largest distributors Acusports out of business. They are gone over this stuff. My buddy that has a gun shop sees the slow down after everything like this happening. I'm glad people are buying guns at the rate they are. But in the long run its bad for the industry.

    You can take the front sight/gas block off. Install a free float forend and a low profile gas block under the forend.

    CDNN has a ton of barrels for sale right now. Maybe not fluted. DS Arms has fluted 16" barrels or at least they did when I bought an upper from them about 10 years ago.
