  1. It was a horrible attempt, but the best I could manage from my phone this morning....
  2. Just an FYI, pinning a can to an SBR (so you only need one stamp) is difficult since a front-disassembly suppressor is hard to come by. If your plan was to add a can to your 7.62, but you want an SBR so that you don't have 5' of rifle hanging out in front of you.... OSS might be your speed. If you just want a SBR to have a SBR.... DO IT. I shot R2's SBR (above) and loved it. Here's some snaps I took in Vegas of the OSS 7.62 model (This was an early model, and has since changed to look like the 1st picture above)
  3. I don't know what you're talking about....
  4. We were issued the G36k almost 15 years ago.... While the piston design is flawless, the barrel and sights suck fat sweaty donkey balls.
  5. COMING SOON.... OSS Suppressors have designed a new can that sleeves over a 16" mid or 14.5" carbine barrel. The proprietary muzzle device adds a little over 2.5" to the OAL. The suppressor adds less 4" beyond the muzzle device. This means you'll be able to pin a 14.5" barrel, add a suppressor, and only need once stamp.... AND you'll still have a normal length rifle.
  6. Per the poll, that is correct.... Damn! These are moving fast.
  7. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are having to shut down 308AR.com. It has been a good run for all of us, as we have made a lot of friends over the years. We hope to have more information soon, but for legal reasons I cannot go into the details further. It is unknown at this time if we will be continuing under a new forum. Thank you all for making this such a great adventure. Rob
  8. McMillan sells a 12" sniper rifle (ALIAS). You should feel comfortable with whatever you want to build. Just don't expect the impossible.
  9. Just a heads up for the guys on the fence... on Monday I plan on advertising this to our Facebook lurkers. I imagine that any left overs will get snatched up at that point.
  10. DPMS makes their own barrels. Bmoney9 has the G2 Recon and it has been running like a champ for him.
  11. You can have an accurate rifle, a light weight rifle or an affordable rifle..... Pick two.
  12. I'll check on this and get back to you (here) ASAP.
  13. PROOF Research - Carbon Fiber Wrapped Satern Barrel - Stainless, 1:10 Twist 17" With Rifle Length Gas Gas Port: 0.99
  14. AWESOME!!
  15. lol
  16. LeatherNuts, MechArmor Defense has looooong been part of the 308AR family. We helped them launch a couple products in the past with great success. Not only do I vouch for them as a company, but I vouch for them as people. This current "group buy" is not something that was set up by a couple jack-asses over email.... This was myself and the guys at MechArmor bullshitting on the phone, and coming up with the plan together (so I guess it was a couple jack-asses after all?!?!). Buy with confidence.... MechArmor guarantees all their products!
  17. I added a poll to help out new lookers.... Did you get your order in yet?
  18. If you were shooting suppressed and full auto, then I'd suggest one... I owned one once. I don't own it anymore. If not a standard heavybuffer.Com, then convert to the Armalite AR10 system.
  19. I have a feeling that this is going to be a common reaction.
  20. It's happened again. The geniuses behind MechArmor Defense have just done what no one else could do... They are releasing a new match grade trigger module at a price that cannot be ignored! Right now they are offering the MEMBERS of 308AR.com the exclusive opportunity to pre-order this new trigger at a ridiculously low price... one that'll likely never be seen again. This introductory offer is limited though. Only the first 30 orders will be valid for this insanely low price. You guys wanted more "group buys" well here it is. You're going to hate me as soon as you click the following link... http://mechdefense.com/products/308ar-com-group-buy-trigger-sale From your favorite local enabler.
  21. .025? That's smaller than 1/32" (it's actually 1/40", or 0.635mm, if that's even a real measurement)... did you mean .25 (1/4") or .125 (1/8")? Those would be significantly larger differences. If it's truly a .025" difference, I doubt nearly a half millimeter will affect much, even with 45° sights, under 100 yards.
  22. How about, "what I forgot to add to my order, and refuse to order by itself, because it costs less than the shipping rate"
